My heart breaks every time I run across an old Aaron Marten’s video. He left us way to early! RIP buddy 🙏

This guy is so incredibly detail-oriented. I thought I was a true fisherman until I started listening to Aaron Martens. I wish I could fish from the back of his boat for a day. He's a bit odd, which I really like.

Me to Aaron is the best all around bass fisherman on the planet. I wish I could spend one day fishing with him

Aaron Martens is one of the most honest and true to the sport pros out there. He doesn't have a reel sponsor because he believes in Megabass products and sacrifices paying his own money for reels in order to fish with what he thinks is the highest quality equipment he can get. If you are promoting a product that you don't believe in than whats the point?

Hi Aaron - awesome detail and advice as always. What ratio are your Metaniums please? By the way -thank you for inventing Aaron’s Magic red flake. Just fished world champs in South Africa and the 4.5” was the bomb for those finicky spawners...

To Aaron; seems like you and I have something in common. I to cut my bass fishing teeth fishing in the Santa Monica mountains ( sorry guys, kinda of a secret spot and has been for over 50 years). Fortunately, still producing big bass. As a kid, If I wasn’t surfing, I was up there catching bass year round. Still float tube the area from time to time but more often than not, you’ll find me at DVL. So Cal bass fishing is alive and well 🏄🏼♂️🎣🤙

I've always heard that pros really aren't using some of the products they promote. Especially line. I heard that many of the pros promote fluorocarbon but are actually using quality copolymer lines like pline
@Cochran5310 жыл бұрын
That's true of a lot of fisherman in general, but Martens is pretty well known for being truthful about what he uses.

I don't go for the money or the sponsor. I go for the $500.00 rod and their name on my shirt. Ok.

i'm a way more true to the sport than aaron martens, i fish all my tournaments from shore and turned down a 21ft 250 merc bass boat from skeeter because i don't want to be a corporate tool. g-loomis offered me a $600 rod, i turned them down, i told them i'll stick to my bamboo pole rather than hock their products. even m.bass got in the act and sent me 300 vision 110's.i said screw you, i'll stick to my kit kat wrapper held on a safety pin with a rubber band. i can't stand these sponsors.
