She can be an auntie to the kid without him. At the same time she keeps banging on about how this is Rebecca's kid and hers alone and that Robert will have nothing to do with it. I gathered as much but still. This is Aaron we're talking about. There is never an easy solution for him. I very much doubt the boxing will be enough... and I still think there's a dog buried somewhere. Even if the boxing is helping with his anger issues, even if he's putting on a facade of being fine (and I'm sure that's what going on) there is still something seriously off with his behavior. Something is gonna give, it always does....

I think if I was Robert, I'd leave Emmerdale. The place is as much of a train rec as Aaron. Aaron needs time without Robert around to decide what he wants. If Aaron is done with Robert, then it's time for Robert to move on. Screw Rebecca. She has her rich daddy and family. I think Aaron forgot all the times Robert was there for him and even saved his life. Yeah, Robert screwed up with Rebecca, but how may times did Aaron screw up. I just would leave and stay away for awhile if I were Robert. I'd give Aaron time to see what his life would be like without Robert there. I hope the writers don't totally destroy what could have been a great story line. They may succeed in causing the fans to dislike Aaron. That would be a mistake. I'm getting close to stop watching. The love story has become a hate story...and we get enough of that crap in real life. Without a Robron love story, Emmerdale ain't interesting.

I love on soaps that even when a character has money their only living options seem to be with relatives. They can never just get their own place. And there a lot of reasons Robert living with Rebecca when their having a child together and a complicated history is a bad idea that are not just about how it will lower his chances of Aaron getting back with him.
