Robert rubbing his legs and saying "it's ok" as if to calm himself was a really nice detail. Really shows how earth-shattering it is to be faced with the truth of something this dark. And Danny, fiddling with his hands to show Aaron's internal fears manifest on the outside... Such a clever detail. Danny really blew it out of the water, I'm so impressed.

I love the attention to details that Emmerdaler gave to this scene. Children's toys as a background for Aaron childhood catastrophe rape story is the perfect shot. Good directing.

0:27 - Aaron's body language here shows how he still feels like a 8 year old, looking at his hands, something a little boy would do. Great acting from Danny Miller here. Such a simple body language thing he does here, a comforting gesture it is called.

I wish Aaron and Robert at least hugged or something. This explains everything, Robert and Aaron chemistry is incredible. Ryan Hawley and Danny Miller their chemistry is incredible. Also, if the Emmerdale writers were smart they should get MORE screentime. Emmerdale needs a gay male supercouple.

I think Robert was keeping his distance so Aaron could talk and not feel overcrowded. He did try and touch Aaron's arm but Aaron told him not too. Aaron is so vulnerable right now so he feels it's best to let him offload and talk.😭😭

Believe me this scene is played perfectly with such sensitivity. Robert did the right thing by keeping space between them. Aaron is so exposed right now and he's reliving everything Gordan did to him. The worst thing for Robert to do is try to get physically close to Aaron. What Robert is doing is the right thing, just being there and letting Aaron offload. Robert even told Aaron later on how much he wanted him but it wouldn't be right to take advantage and this was after Aaron leaned in to kiss him on the bench. Robert pulled back because he has such love for Aaron.

Agreed in that moment Aarons mind is in a dark horrifying place he simply can't be touched even Robert has that comments sends ...... After this episode everything about Aaron made perfect sense why he hates lies why he hurts himself why he doesn't like public displays of any kind why he doesn't like people touching him in general unless he trusts them like chas and family he will hug but hates it...x x x x

I was groomed as a child by a predator, starting when I was about 6. The adult man in question waited until I was 9 to French kiss me. It felt awful and wrong but I didn't even have words to describe what happened. The idea that an adult could be doing something wrong with me was totally alien to me as a child. Adults were always, always right. Totally unassailable authorities. So please have conversations with your kids when they are small. That is what teaching consent is about. You don't even have to talk about sex. Just teach them that their bodies belong to themselves, that their lips and the skin under their clothes belong to them, and that they decide who gets to touch them. Not adults. Not even family members. Because the predator could be an uncle or a mother or, as in my case, godfather. I was lucky; my mom had a bad feeling when I told her I didn't want to visit him anymore, so she made sure we didn't. So French kissing was all he ever got to do. Not everyone is so lucky.

Oh my God, Chas is such a idiot! She's doing it again, picking a man over of her son. She is pissing my off so much right now. Paddy is Aaron's dad, and he is right as well as a much better parent. I hope when this all comes out, Aaron will move out. He needs to loosen the strings with his parents a bit, especially Chas.

Totally agree, Shaun. I've never seen a male actor cry more beautifully and convincingly than Danny Miller ... he's a master at it and he's so young. Very powerful, I've now watched and listened to this is three times and it's still harrowing. Cheers

What Aaron is describing are classic rape and grooming. Many doesn't know this but rape rarely has anything to do with sexuality or even sex, it's an act of dominance meant to assert power over someone else. That was what Gordon did and then he tried to cover his tracks by blaming the vitcim, tearing away at Aaron self esteem and thus making sure he would not say a word because he was to Believe he brought it on himself. And to seal the deal, Gordon then played nice as to make sure the Child Aaron understood he only got punished when he was bad and that way trivialize the whole thing as something normal and selfinflicted. Yeah, between childhood abuse and all the other shit Aaron has had to face, is there any wonder he's the way he is?
