Liv was doing so well with her studies, then out of nowhere she fails everything. And then gabby says "I was hoping youd scrape through," looking all guilty. Maybe it was just me reading into things. Maybe she just assumed Liv would have a hard time getting back into school work since she just got out, and dealing with Jerry's death. But I didn't really see it like that. If Gabby did do something, I don't think it was malicious in intent. It would be more along the lines of her feeling like nothing she does can live up to her mom's expectations, and feels a lot of pressure to do well. She sees that Liv is doing well, so she wants to somehow switch results with her to get better grades, and she thinks that her actual grades would be at least good enough to get Liv by. I've never really liked Gabby. She's always been the shady one, and most of the trouble that Liv and her get into start with her bad ideas.

I wouldn't know if there was a build up to it or not, I don't keep track of Gabby's storyline. I only really watch aaron and robert's. So when i see part of Gabby's story its only when its directly related to Liv. Maybe if there was a build up it would be off to the side somewhere, something you might only see if you were just in it for her story. Liv and Gabby both have a history of skipping school and not really being that interested in school. So, I guess I always took for granted that neither of them probably did that well. The only difference between them, though, is they showed Liv getting on top of her school work, working hard and doing better. They don't show that with Gabby. I never really assumed gabby would be so bad as to fail every single class, but at the same time it wouldn't really surprise me either. But with Liv it did surprise me, because they put that little bit of context in beforehand.
