They both looked crazy fit today and those kisses were so lovely. Aaron loves deeply so losing Grace and Seb back to back is making him want to rush into this, but he needs to take some time and sort through how he's feeling about those losses before doing anything else. He seems stronger now, but he's still very emotionally fragile.

It would be awesome for these two to have a baby. However, I agree that this isn't the best time. It's not like there is ever a "best time" for having a baby, but with everything being so up-in-the-air right now, they should probably figure out what's going on with Seb first and then stop to take a breath. I can't help but think Robert would love Aaron to experience that moment when he first holds his newborn baby. It was so powerful that it changed Robert completely. I can't imagine what it would do to Aaron.

In my opinion, Robert is not really listening to what Aaron was talking about, which was having a baby of their own. I think it is because Robert does not really know what his role in Seb's life as his child is with Rebecca. Aaron has just lost his little unborn sister, Grace so that is probably why he wants to have a child with Robert so, he can fully experience becoming a full-time Dad and he loves kids, it will definitely suit him. On the other hand, Robert thinks each of them might need time longer to think if having a child is what they both really want; I mean, Aaron cannot be the ONLY person wanting a child and Robert himself is not ready. I think that is the reason Robert leaned forwards and pulled Aaron towards him for a kiss; to distract the subject of 'children'.

These story lines and the general pressure now if not obsession for male homosexual couples to make babies is oppressive. This is such an artificial development on the part of Aaron. Thinking of his entire life as we know it, his character, cultural development and personality it is implausible, unlikely and quite unbelievable that he now has brooding impulses like a female. He was so totally male and focused on a partner and not babies. If I remember correctly Jackson spoke of babies and Aaron was not open to it. He wanted an exclusive love relationship with Jackson. What the present mindset is pushing is actually contradictory to male biology. Men indeed have the impulse to plant their seed but NOT to be involved beyond that. People are being forced into roles that many will one day regret.

globalman I’m a straight woman who agrees with this. It seems like many shows that depict gay couples ultimately throw a baby in the mix and I think it lacks creativity. Not everyone, straight or gay, want kids. He, Robert and Liv have barely settled into being a family. Then you add Seb who was a mediocre plot device at best. It’s quite infuriating.

+ Sumatra77 Thank you for your reply and validation. I acknowledge that I might be somewhat subjective but I do have strong feelings about this issue. It seems to be a growing trend if not obsession not only in television but in real life for two men to procreate through surrogates or adopt children, primarily in the USA. There are a number of famous people who have only exacerbated this situation. People like to imitate but that is a terrible reason to bring children into this world. Aside from my personal feelings about the overpopulation on this planet I am concerned for the young men who somehow will feel a variation of Peer pressure to imitate their fellow homosexuals. Not to mention the children who may suffer if this tendency turns out to be a misguided adventure. Bringing children into the world is a lifetime responsibility and it takes a unique and special type of people to commit to that level. I do agree with you completely and through personal experience that not every man or indeed woman wants or feels the imperative to make babies. There is much prejudice in society and among family and friends against those people which is wrong. Despite popular belief I know for a fact that not every woman feels that need or the so called biological clock pressing to produce a child. I respect those choices and there should be stronger voices in support of the people who choose, for whatever reason, NOT to have children.

globalman Very valid points. I have watched quite a few shows with gay couples and they all inevitably get saddled with a kid. Then the audience must cringe through awkward baby moments and overwrought stories of something happening to the kid. Take Seb for instance. He was a plot device. A poor executed one at that. Granted the kid is cute and cooperative so it wasn’t as hard to bear but there was so much story to be told with just Robert and Aaron. Now we have this sudden change of heart from Robert after spending one afternoon with 3 sick rowdy kids, so once again having kids becomes a plot devise to get Robert into trouble and create fiction with Aaron. Anyway I think we are in the minority. A lot of people are excited that they are going to have their own kid. 😂

I do see alot of TV Shows going this way and it doesn't always feel earned but Aaron feeling how it is to have Seb, then wanting his own kids feels believeble. Also Manly men can also want kids, fx. Take my dad he works manual labour, loves cars etc. But he was the one that wanted kids and he would have wanted alot more kids if he could have decided by himself.
