The Athletic detailed how intricate Aaron Rodgers hand signals are and how many new receivers to the team are expected to learn the system on the fly. According to several named sources, including Randall Cobb, Jordan Love and Romeo Doubs, none of the signals are written down and Rodgers quizzes receivers every Saturday. Rodgers responded on the Pat McAfee Show, calling it quote: 'by far the dumbest nothingburger article… It's not like there's that many signals. It's not hard at all. The fact that this is made to a story, it's the most ridiculous nothing story that I've read the entire year and that’s saying a lot.' Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe share whether they believe Rodgers or the report.

Also Peyton talked a couple of years ago about always changing the hand signal meanings or new/old ones week to week to keep defenses guessing. Payton does it he is a high IQ QB, Rodgers does it and he is a as Shannon stated a Dumb dumb. I mean it's not like defenses watch film and look at signals or anything. Oh and if you watch the actual interview you realize Love is in charge of hand signals week to week.

The exact play Shannon is referring to is featured in the 1997 episode of America's Game and John Elway explains it pretty much word for word. Mike Shanahan is seem arguing with someone on the headset and puts the play in anyway. There's also a redemption story for Howard Griffith in that game against his season nemesis Levon Kirkland. One of the forgotten moments of AFC football history as it put the Broncos in the super bowl against Brett Favre. So glad Shannon mentioned it here.
