I'm not a fan of Mayfield but I really pray he finds peace with a team finally. It's been a crazy year for him. He plays hard. Doesn't always get as much credit he deserves.

At this point, it's safe to say Baker Mayfield is not a franchise NFL quarterback. He can give you quality play in small doses, a game or two. Essentially he's a career backup quarterback. He can still have a good career as a backup quarterback who can fill in occasionally or play mop up duty. He is who he is. The dream is over Skip.

Rams will come back with Stafford and Baker next season and let Baker ride the bench as a safety net if Stafford gets hurt. Having those two trained up for an entire off season will be good for them.

I get Shannon doesn’t like Baker. But come on. Any QB behind the Rams O-line is gonna have bad games. They have had 14 different starting Offensive Lineman. All year the rams haven’t been able give the QB time. And put on top of it the best receiver is at best a 3rd option.
