Congrats on 250! I love the nearly five years of dedication, putting out all things Jets. We’ve seen some ups, and a lot of downs in five years. You, sir are more consistent than this team ever will be. Keep doing God’s work, Matty Ice! We’ll all keep watching.

250 Matt,Holy smokes! We’re happy for each and every one of them. Even more than my own deep desire for the jets to become a good team one day, I want all the Jets content creators to be rewarded with a good product and all the additional views that would bring. Thank you for giving this team way better coverage than it deserves, but filling the hole for us fans who do deserve it. Happy holidays brother

Fun fact about the Jets Franchise at the QB position The Jets have had ONE season after 1998 where the Qb completed 60% plus, 3k plus yards, 20 or more TDs, and under 20 picks thrown. (Chad Pennington) As it stands Rodgers is at about 63%, 2627 yards, 19 TDs, and 8 Ints. So he's most likely going to have statistically a top 5 season in franchise history. Probably Rodgers worst season at 41 years old coming off a ruptured achilles is one of the Jets best.

You're comparing him against a series of rookies who never developed. If Rodgers was ten years younger I'd give him another chance, but he's has been in decline for a decade. If the Jets ever want to succeed they're going need to bring in people who can evaluate young talent and develop and coach them. Trying to buy a quick fix never works.

Well what actually happened on the Rodgers throw that was int for a pick 6 was actually he missed that wide open pass to Garret Wilson the play before and Aaron Rodgers being himself decided to force the next one to Garret no matter what. Thats atleast the third time he did this and definitely the second he forced it to Garret to have it intercepted.

I wanted to also add that the Jets are a hand full of 4th Q plays away from being 8-4 instead of 3-9, having nothing to do with Rodgers. Granted he could have played better in some situations to avoid these 4th Q scenarios in the first place, we dont apply the same scrutiny to Mahomes who has been in the same boat many times all year but had a team that did their job and didnt rely in the QB to bail out awful mistakes. 5, 1 score games -TD called back vs Bills that lead to missed kick, followed by 6 penalties on offense in a row where Jets picked up multiple called back first downs with under a min left, before he threw that pic . Bad throw or not, without literally 6 penalties on offense in a row, he wouldn't have been in a situation throwing a deep ball into a cover 4 look -6 penalties in a row again vs SEA on defense that handled them the win. Rodgers also had 3 big forst down throws called back in the second half that lead to defensive stops or punts the very next play. -20 missed tackles vs NE including 3rd down missed sack on QB that allowed him to get first and goal before go ahead score. -Sauce abandoned his coverage zone vs IND to try and break up a short pass on a double move route, big gain at end of game leading to redzone score. -Late missed FG vs DEN leading to 1 point loss He hasn't played great but he isn't the reason they have lost at least 5 games this year. 5 games that make the difference between playoff birth and not
@mikewalsh22429 күн бұрын
It doesn’t matter. Most nfl games are one score games. That’s what bad teams in the nfl do- they lose close games. It doesn’t make the jets a good team that got unlucky. They’re just a bad team, that like most bad teams- lost a bunch of close games and been blown out 2-3 times
@Viking_36729 күн бұрын
@mikewalsh224 yes correct and a good QB will make the difference sometimes. Most of the time the difference is a series of small things going right or wrong. Good teams don't allow those small mistakes to build up and bad teams just keep making small mistakes. It always seem to come down to a few plays here and there for winning and losing teams

If you check out the top 10 offensive lines in the NFL you can pretty much make a case for a top 10 NFL team list.

I never gave up on AR finding a way until this weekend, and then harder after Pat's show yesterday. He's a warrior who our fanbase doesn't deserve - the man literally started this season knowing Joe and Robert we're on the chopping block if anything went wrong, and he's politely alluded to that being a distraction in the building. This really was over when he tore the achilles, because a good owner would have given them grace to find a new way and timetable going forward, but it's clear that Woody is immature, and did the opposite, while his brother tried to keep him from overreacting. As someone who has been around people like Woody, that was never going to work out. I can't wait for AR's Netflix documentary, because I genuinely think he tried everything he could, and the poor play was simply a result of being human, coming back from an injury, and our media (and therefore, our fanbase) s*ing on everything because it's been conditioned to. (That's the real culture change this team needs, by the way.) He's retiring to Green Bay in 5 years, it sounded like, which is commendable, and being a hippie between calling it a career and then, which is probably after this season. I don't care if I'm the only fan who feels this way - just grateful he cared enough to try, and then try again after our line (surprise, surprise) couldn't protect him in his first game with us.
@markb378629 күн бұрын
🤣🤣🤣Are you AR's publicist? AR is the reason Saleh is gone. Saleh tried to fix AR's 68 secret hand signals, ancient bat-shit crazy Mike Mcarthy offense, and AR had Woody or Chris shut him down.

I feel same way and I honestly want to see him next year here and give it one more chance. I can’t believe the amount of hate he’s getting from Jets fans. I’ve been a fan for decades and AR is easily one of the best QBs we’ve had and he hasn’t been himself. He hasn’t been great but he also hasn’t been as bad as the media and some fans are making him out to be. He played good enough for the team to win against Seattle. The entire jets team and organization has been a disaster my entire life. AR needed more than 1 year to try and fix that…

Everything you’re complaining about regarding Rodgers are things us Packer fans have said for years. It’s the same stuff, this isn’t new with the jets. Scared to throw down field, pointing at the sideline, pointing at receivers, Refusing to throw over the middle. Blaming everyone else during press conferences. Refusing to accept coaching during the game. This isn’t new. This is life with Aaron Rodgers. It’s exactly what Ive been saying since 2018.

"Perfect situation to have any sort of success" thats a Jets fans denial creating illusion. How many 1 score games did you guys lose? What stats rankings have you had across 3 phases of football at different points of the year? He doesnt need near perfect he needs basic fundamental consistency. Penalties, missed tackles, time in the pocket, qb hits are examples the Jets have been terrible at eliminating all year. 3 losses from missed FGs... Thats not just far from perfect but far from AVERAGE. So beleiving Rodgers needs near perfect situations to he successful doesnt add up when its been near success with far from perfect football. Like I said, how many 1 score losses with awful football played do the Jets have? Same Rodgers performances with average football performances as a team, youre talking 5 more wins at a minimum.
