If Aaron Rodgers really cared about winning in NY, he would not have scheduled a trip to Egypt during "mandatory" mini camp. You know, the time you get to know your teammates, especially your wide receivers. Rodgers also doesn't mind throwing teammates and coaches under the bus. He forced his way into getting his buddies on the team, and worst of all, an "OC" that never should have been an OC. The Jets seemed to have had everything in place going into 2023 but can't count out injuries to anyone. The extra year seems to have really hurt Aaron Rodgers and he has hurt the team in more ways than one. He doesn't look like a 40 year old QB, lately he looks like a 50 year old QB. With the talent that is still on the Jets, they'd be better off with Daniel Jones for a season. Maybe a QB will emerge, or the Jets can find a kid coming out of college that fits the bill. Every year that goes by sees their window close more and more. They still have most of the necessary pieces but they need a QB that can deliver more than anything else. They need a Head Coach, help on the O-line and someone to get their defense playing the way it did under Robert Saleh, Saleh is a great DC but he's not Head Coach material. Most of all, Woody Johnson needs to keep non football people out of the teams' business and he would do well to limit his input on the team as much as possible too.

The fact that the Jets and other teams think that someone would come right behind Tom Brady, this "Once in a lifetime player", and do the exact same thing is completely delusional. We praise Tom Brady because we've never seen a guy do what he did, and yet we think Aaron Rodgers is going to come along and immediately do the same thing? Typically when QBs get to Rodgers' age, their skills are seriously diminished. Rodgers is not Brady. It's beyond ridiculous to pay a guy like this as if he is the missing link to your Super Bowl contending team. That being said, Jerry Jones is salivating.
