What I don't understand is why we treat QBs like NBA players. Their the most important position on the field, but they are also the most dependent position. At best, they are 10-15% of the equation for a team considering you have to take into account coaching, special teams, the rest of the offense, and defense. Football and basketball are not comparable, but the media likes to treat QBs like basketball players. QB is the most difficult position to determine who is better than who when the ones being compared are all time greats Also, it is not Rodgers vs Brady. It is Rodgers & LaFleur vs Bowles's defense, and Brady & Arians vs Pettine's defense

Everyone one of his WR's the Packers drafted and Rodgers turned into WR's that we traded or let go at there peak of career to fill holes in positions we needed or to save cap space. Rodgers is (far) more talented than Brady in terms of physical ability, but in a vacuum if I had to take one QB to win one game, I'm taking prime-Brady over prime-Rodgers because he's far more proven in winning on the biggest stage. It's not necessarily Rodgers fault that he is less proven, but he is. That said, I might still take prime-Montana over prime-Brady. Rodgers suffers in this conversation in the same way that Marino does- both are supreme talents, but they did not have the same opportunity to prove themselves, largely through no fault of their own.

Warren Moon had an amazing defense supporting him in the Oilers in '93 I think when Buddy Ryan ran his 46 defense here. We had amazing defensive players in that era, Moon had a great defense to lean on, but it was picked apart by Montana, then a Chief, in the playoffs.

Well let's see. Brady has 5 years more playing, 8 if you count Rodgers not starting since year 1. He also has had a great defense every year. Also has had Bill as his HC for 20 years. And is just now going to a new team / getting a new HC. So if Rodgers plays 8 years longer than Brady, you don't think he'll have more TD's, yards, completions? It's a team game. There are two sides of the ball. offense and defense. As Shannon stated in the video, when Brady's let up 30 or more points, he's lost every time. When Rodgers defense has let up 37 points or more, he is 8 and 7. Rodgers has made it to 1 SB in his 16 years of playing. His first 3 years playing he was behind Farve. Now Rodgers is the MOST TALENTED thrower of the football. And Brady is the MOST ACCOMPLISHED thrower of the football. A large part of that has been with Bill as his HC. If Rodgers has a top 10 defense - like Brady has had, he easily has the same amount or more SB's than Brady has. GB has had 30+ years of HOF QB's and only has 2 SB's to show for it. It's the front office who's let down Rodgers. Not Rodgers not having the ability to win games. I rest my case and my God have mercy on your soul.

During Brady's years as a starter for the Patriots (2001-2007, 2009-2019), his team's average defensive ranking was 16.6, whereas for Rodgers (2008-Present), it's been almost the same at 16.7. Also, Brady has not consistently had a reliable RB + deep threat WR for most of his career. In fact, during his first 6 seasons (2001-2006), his offense was completely sub-par. I just think it's a complete misnomer that the Patriots have had talented teams consistently throughout Brady's career.

idk where you're getting avg def ranking but I know NE had 16 top 10 defenses in ppg, incl 8 top 5. ya know points, the thing that wins games. and maybe brady doesn't want RBs or deep threat WR. he wants great slot receivers and TEs. brady had moss, gronk, welker, edelman and amendola etc and 2001-06 you're right but they had elite defenses and brady was mostly a game manager. they had a #1 def, 2 #2 defenses and a #6.
