With the Lamar questionable scenario right now, Jets can wait a little longer. It's not ideal, but for whatever reason, collusion, uncertainity, whatever, Lamar's market isn't so hot right now. If Lamar is still available and there isn't a market for him, he can still be a target. Now we can't wait too long. If Lamar gets signed and Rodgers still hasn't made a decision, we're in a really rough place. So hopefully withing the next couple of days, we'll get an answer. Go Jets. I want a top tier QB so bad.

I don’t want to jinx it either- but, common sense would suggest that The Packers at the least believe The Jets have the assets they would want…it’s is highly likely that the framework has been discussed between The Jets and Pack and Joe D is comfortable with a potential move…and there is a 50/50 chance that they have deal in principle in place and are just waiting for Roger’s sign off. And the fact that The Packers are allowing any team to talk with Rogers (side note, I wonder what formalities go into granting permission???) suggest they are done with Rogers.

The only and I mean ONLY QB that the Jets could possibly acquire today, who is better than Josh Allen, and can go toe to toe with the likes of a Mahomes or a Burrow, and could likely and actually win us a SB here is Aaron Rodgers...Plain and simple... NOT a Carr, not a Jackson, not a Garapolo, or anyone else for that matter. AR is still a highly mobile, deadly accurate, MVP-caliber, super bowl winning QB - and none of those other fellows, as good as they each are or might ever be - are all of those things in one package, nor are they as good as AR. None of them would even be the best QB in the AFC East if they were here - let alone be better than those other guys who they'd have to go through to ever get the Jets to a SB. With the team that the Jets have now, and with Hackett already in place, and with the weapons they have on both sides of the ball, along with another good draft and free agency period - the Jets could be an honest to goodness real SB contender with Rodgers here. And Rodgers and Zach Wilson love each other, and so AR could also become a real mentor to Zach, in the hopes of Zach being the starter after AR retires. The other potential QBs out there that everyone is fawning over simply would NOT be that same caliber of a threat against the other elite QBs of the AFC. Aaron IS elite...And there's NO WAY he's coming all the way here to NY at this stage in life to half-ass it here, and he's not gonna do a Favre and play hurt without telling anyone, so stop with all that already, fools...
