I've seen the team get to 3 AFC title games and while watching all of those loses hurt, there was still a feeling of satisfaction since we kind of made improbable runs in all of those seasons. I'm certain that this is the best Jets team of my lifetime, with a top 5 QB of all time at the helm the stage was set for a legit SB run. Now we're left hoping for a chance at the playoffs. While I would love to see the team play in the post season, a SB is what I really want and now our chances of lifting the trophy have dropped significantly. Windows close fast in the NFL and we might never get an opportunity this good again for a LONG time, just sucks...it's like '99 all over again but probably worse IMO.

Last night I saw Wilson, for the most part, process quickly and accurately under duress. A first for him. Despite questionable play calling and underwhelming protection from the OL he was at least serviceable. The interception was bad, but no worse than most I saw coming from better QB’s this weekend. And for once, he didn’t shrink afterwards. If we run the #%$@ football like we’re capable, the season is not lost.

Unfortunately, as a Jets fan since the mid-70s, I have to say that I expected something to happen to Rodgers. Though not 4 snaps into game #1. Having seen Vinny go down in game 1 in 1999, then Chad get injured again and again, and even losing Sanchez in the pre-season. It's par for the course. It's just depressing because we don't even get to experience a glimpse of what we were all excited for. This team is ready to win now.

It's hard to believe people are talking about Matt Ryan or Carson Wentz, who are the equivalent of Joe Flacco or worse. I'd rather go with Zach Wilson and Boyle as our QB's. If Hall and Cook can stay healthy, we still have a chance with our dominant defense. Garrett Wilson looked great last night, and Lazard caught the ball when he was targeted. Zach just needs to avoid interceptions and turnovers. I believe he can be an adequate QB for the Jets. When he had Hall healthy last year they were 5-2. I thought outside of one bad play he looked good last night.

Like you, i figured it was torn. I was expecting this news. But it still was a devastating update. Until further notice, its back to ZW. All we can do is pray for Rodgers to make a full recovery and ZW can show us improvement. Thats all we can do right now. We're Jets fans. The Jets are our team. This is what we're dealt with. Ever since this field was installed by the Johnson's we seem to have an inordinate amount of season ending injuries. I heard they were replacing it this offseason. I hope they do finally do that. Its up to Rodgers to coach Zach from the sideline and its up to Hackett to coach from the sideline and its up to Zach to show us he can play solidly, which he did well enough last night.
