I liked how he hit one of the drums with the stick in his left hand, and the closed symbals with the stick in his right hand. Also it was cool when he used his foot to play the big drum on the floor. Also, did you guys see the part when he used his right hand to hit those other symbals that were sitting off to the right?? AMAZING!!!

It's all about groove, feel and the music! Damn wake up will ya?! Open your eyes bro it will come with time. Feel the drums they are instruments not toys that you beat on with sticks and mallets.

He's playing perfect for the song. He can do amazing things with the kit but he knows what is required for this song and he stayed with it. Being an amazing drummer is knowing what is required for the music, not showing wicked rolls and chops every chance you get in a song, and ruin the song. That is exactly what amateurs do.
@OM21014 жыл бұрын
This actually takes talent: being an extremely great drummer and holding back and working with the tune itself

The dvd is Beyond the Chops, so I think he's demonstrating they type of playing that gets him paid. I love linear drumming and choppiness but, honestly keeping good time and being able to groove is what artists and producers are looking for.

@oOoOViperOoOo LOL You're HILARIOUS! You can't be serious! Do you see how many people are on the DW roster? 1 and 2 are legends,yes but even Terry knows Aaron.Those guys and ladies got with DW because DW felt that those artists would represent the company well. Aaron Spears is with DW because he likes the shells,he developed his sound using DW,plus he's extremely talented. His resume proves it quite well. This clip just shows him how he keeps a gig if the Musical Director wants a tasty groove.
