i agree with you. it's subtle but so human, and he makes you sympathize with him instantly! and it really stands out in next to normal- he's such a powerful character, but such a normal unassuming guy in real life. when he turns on though... its just breathtaking.

This guy has a quality that compels me to sit and watch and listen to every phrase and note. Like so many good singers, he has a bag of voices for the whole gamut of sad, joyful, comic and serious. But on top of that, his voice, as in the chorus, is like listening (if it were at all possible) to the pouring of vocal liquid gold. Love it.

i absolutely agree. he's one of those performers that pulls you in as you watch him. although if you listen to him singing without the benefits of pitch correction, it's often a little all over the grid, being able to see him perform the song is what makes it so wonderful.
