@AAROnair not at all. I think I posted it on an agt vixen forum on Facebook. I really appreciate the time you took with my sons and I. I'm always happy to give positive feedback when it's due. Even though the vector guys were mega busy they took the time with me and I ended up buying a .22 vixen short, scope, extra mags, uragan shroud, bipod and loads of other bits from vector. There were plenty of other great retailers there but you guys stood out with your kind and friendly approach. And the after sales service was fantastic. Don't think I'll shop anywhere else. Your videos reignited my passion for shooting so I can't thank you enough. Kind regards, Stephen.

Hi Andy, (you probably won't have time to read this) I discovered your show during lockdown when I purchased my first (rubbish cheap springer) and wanted to know more. I've always found the show accessible and was able to pick up the basics the further I went along. I've found there are primarily really good people in the sport especially at my club who are always happy to give advice which is what you're doing. There are the few snobs that feel they're the knowledge of all things and try to belittle and bully people more so online. Not realising or caring of course that the sport REALLY needs good accessibility and exposure to get young people involved and keep it going for all of us. The club's won't be there without new members and the guns won't be there without the sales. Don't know what the guys problem is but you'll always find a few dull tools at the bottom of the box 😊

@@simonnoble7589 The guy at the end of the phone at my local club basically told me I wouldn't be accepted by other members as they only shoot top end stuff but recommended another club further away. I joined the other club that day based on the reception I got and over the course of a couple of years I've come to find pretty much 99% of them are really welcoming, friendly and helpful - even the higher end shooters have given me advice and always happy to show some kit or as I've found on many occasions let me have a quick go. It seems people just get online to annoy others. I might not agree with some of what Andy says but I'm still appreciative and grateful he's putting out content in a way everyone can get to grips with it. We don't all have a degree in ballistic coefficients, there's other places to go for the ducks bum fountain of knowledge. I'd genuinely say that watching these videos encouraged me to go further into a sport I really enjoy. So thanks Andy if you ever get around to reading this though if you had that much time I'd be surprised 😃

Precisely my observation too. One specific member whom I got into a bit of an exchange with, was fortunate enough to have accumulated a very nice collection of very high end airguns. But every time a beginner would ask what airgun to start with that wouldn't break the bank, this twat would recommend Theobans or similar brands saying everything else was rubbish and then would proceed to show photos of his collection to win looks of admiration and awe. He wasn't helping the newcomers in any shape other than getting off on the idea of making people think they can't get into the sport unless they spend a couple of Gs. I suspected he was compensating for certain "shortcomings" in other areas but hey, I will live quite happy not knowing the definitive answer to that. 😂

Hi Andy, Thank you for another great review. I met you for the second time at this years Shooting Show. It was great to speak to you when it was eventually my turn! I'm grateful for all the reviews you do and the energy you and Mrs AAR put in to what you do. I could sense at the Shooting Show that there was an atmosphere and unrest where, by people were annoyed because they thought nothing new or different was there. There seemed to be a lot of limited edition stuff. Nothing new, though, with a hefty price tag. Since watching your review and listening to your opinion, my opinion changed on this air rifle from first seeing it. Personally, I like traditional air rifles, Walnut stock, and not keen on the tactical look. However, I think this is a great design and would appeal to someone who didn't want an obvious looking gun under his arm. Most of us put our air rifles in our cars. What if we had to use the bus, or train or walk through a busy precinct? I think it would appeal to someone who needed to do pest control and not, with great respect, a big interest in air rifles, and not their hobby. At forty metres and being a spring air rifle, I thought the accuracy/grouping was fantastic, especially as it was your first time shooting it. After watching your review, I think it's great, with a price which is non arguable. I don't think there's an argument to be had here. This is not the run of the mill. It's new with a lot of thought gone into it. Thank you.
@lindsayheyes9258 ай бұрын
I'm not attracted to American-style prepping, but I can see two big advantages to this straight away: 1. My English cottage has plenty of floor space, but almost nowhere on the walls to fit a traditional gun cabinet aesthetically. This rifle would fit into a large key or medicine cabinet, or a fitted cabinet under the sloping ceilings of my upstairs rooms. 2. It'll fit in a backpack too, which is great, because my shooting ground has to be accessed through a very public area. I'd be tempted to fit a red dot or even prism sight. An obvious improvement would be building Crosman's MAG-fire system or similar into a future design... to reduce the faff of fumbling with pellets. Very interesting review. Thank you.

yes i could see it being a good backpack rifle for if youre going to be camping/hunting in the UK. for transportations sake or even just having it as an emergency type thing. but with our laws on carrying air weapons, having something "just in case" like that would probably not be seen as enough of a good reason to carry one. i think it would be better in other countries where youre allowed to carry them more freely

Thanks for the review Andy, as result I visited the Vector shop yesterday and purchased a .177 in black. First time at the premises and had a really great experience. I'm genuinely surprised at the amount of quality metal and the finish on this and the polymer pieces. Once assembled it's so sturdy if you handed it to someone they'd have no clue it's foldable. I appreciate some of the suspicion about Chinese made products is entirely valid but this rifle has far exceeded my expectations regarding fit and finish. Your disclaimer at the start of the vid was correct, I've now decided I also 'need' the . 22 in tan :) so stock levels permitting I'll be back at the shop next month. Kind regards and thanks again for the time and effort you put into these reviews.

I appreciate the somewhat clever ingenuity, and I think the concept of "play as if your a USA tacticool prepper" is cute. It would be fun to own as a youngster or teen. 11+ Ft pounds and fairly accurate too. But an even more practical, robust, cheaper and simple survival air rifle is certainly a good idea. Think along the lines of the Chiappa little badger .22LR. And why not have more budget field/farm use break barrels and C02's/PCP's with wire and synthetic folding, swinging, telescopic stocks?. Something a farm hand can carry on his quad without much worry about damage or much space needed. Ofcourse legal overall length, folded and unfolded, considerations would have to be factored in to allow for the full 12ft pound limit in either configuration. Its always nice to see new innovations, especially in the budget sector. Theres alot of guns that are very similar in every way, so the market needs a shake up with new ideas.

I have done several videos on this air rifle shooting it un scoped and it is very accurate out to 30yrds. the one things that has happened since I have had it and been shooting it for a few months now is that the rear site has started to drift after about 12 to 14 shots. Not sure how to fix the issue due to the design of the rear site. I bought one in tan very soon after a quiet word with Andy at the NEC Gun Show. Budget price but not budget quality or plastic. In all, it makes you smile. It's fun but not going to help you survive WW3! For a trekker, it may be too heavy to carry for an occasional pot shot. There is even an optional bayonet, which is going to get the boys in blue worried. I think it probably makes more sense in countries without power limitations.

Will be interesting to hear of how the hinges last over time in use. The box seems okay. Would most probably just put the pellets (and the optic, if using one) in the case.. Dunno if it is just me.. or does this one seem as an old thing to someone else too? Seen this one in american videos a while back also - and already then it seemed old. This rifle been showed off in some american Shot Show already a couple of years back or something? This Black Bunker rifle surely did not seem as a new thing to me anymore... Just been finding it odd and pondering about it.. Surely a cool looking rifle in my eyes, though probably not getting on my wants list..

It's an interesting rifle, neat concept. A compact scope would be better as you could get it into the centre case quite easily. I'm hoping the gen II will have a pic rail to 6 o'clock for a Harris bipod as the side bipod idea would add extra bulk to it folded, and, you can't keep it in the centre box. I'm not sure Mr Plod would be too impressed with you open carrying it though? It could have done with a neat triangle camo/tan/black bag for it to slide into with rucksack straps or a molle system for attaching to your backpack.? Shots fired Mr Bagball..? Not a good idea, let's hope you don't pop your nose up above the rock you live under. There are too many sharpshooters here for you to keep it attached to your face for very long.

Which gas canister pistol and rifle are most effective in stopping the advance of someone intent on breaking and entering or causing one physical harm? Are break barrel and springer types suitable for self defense? Asking for those who don't want to cause permanent harm or don't like or are too afraid to have real guns in their homes?
@jacklurcher58138 ай бұрын
I'm assuming you're in the USA. The sensible answer in the USA context is you can't effectively 'stop' a determined assailant without a level of force that could cause permanent harm. If you're really serious about home defence (or defense) get some training in 'real' guns and suitable advice on appropriate calibres of ammunition. A UK airgun channel can't advise you on this.

@metomelardyazz1933Are you nuts? Skint people living from check to check are going to spend £250 on it so they can maybe bag a rabbit in the unlikely even of a fuel shortage? 😂 Great Plan you have there, you must be a master strategist.

Easy to transport and hide when you have nosy neighbours. Maybe a slightly shorter barrel so it sits flush?

Can you shoot .22 slugs in this brake barrel?

I’m no expert but I have thought it maybe illegal like others have commented. The law is about conceal-ability, and you could maybe hide that in a shopping bag. I think its length is within the law even with stock folded, but i reckon being able to hide a rifle in a shopping bag could be a big no no. But i suppose there a plenty of legal break barrels with a removable stock that could fit in the same space. My one man jury is out 🤣

This particular question is subject to where you are in the world of course. I would categorically state that you don’t want to be concealing any weapon in the U.K. and my take on this is it is designed to be easier to fit in your car boot or the like, rather than trying to conceal anything. Getting it in the house past the Mrs unnoticed is another thing entirely 😉. Please don’t be carrying this around the streets anyone! Stay safe. Andy

Kind of looks like a nail gun - like it.

I thought the same, stick some DeWalt/Milwaukee stickers on it and a chart with nail sizes and you could probably walk into a police station or bank without a 2nd glance.
