I was having a hard time getting my D to up normal. A friend suggested adding K2, it would help my body process the D3, and, it worked! I got above 50 in just a few months.

This video made me realize so many mistakes I have made. Trying not to take proper medication and trying to go more natural and not discussing with my doctors was a mistake. In my defense the medical has come so far in the last 20 years when I was diagnosised. And questions to many doctors were we don't know a lot about m.s. thank God for these doctors who want to find answers. Thank you.

I was put on 50,000 mg of vitamin D shortly after being diagnosed & still taking it! Honestly though I'm still not sure what, if anything, it's doing to help me but especially in the summer months I'm not outside often so that alone makes it worth it to me. I've been on Adderall for fatigue & it's the fourth one & only one that literally destroys my appetite! Other than sweets my taste buds don't work anymore so I know I'm not eating enough of any kind of food. Thanks Dr. B!

I am 78 and have secondary progressive MS. I have never had DMT apart from corticosteroids once aged 63 and this year after having covid. I have avoided sugar and processed foods I used to drink red wine but now I just drink water. I am in London and I have no access to fampyra which might make a difference t walking speed( I use a crutch outdoors for balance.) If I can have fampyra would it help balance as well as walking speed? Ps, I love your podcasts

I am so glad that you spoke on these "supplements". I already take a one a day vitamin. I hv to get back to taking my biotin. I hv to get vitamin D2 back. I was already taking vitamin D2. I need to see if I can get D3 instead. I try to do my best when eating. I try to eat as healthy as I can. I eat a lot of chicken and now I've started eating fish as well. I exercise daily. I don't hv a vehicle so I don't drive. I will be back on my "Copaxone".I've always kept in my mind that ppl with MS die frm a heart related illness so I try to do gd by me. I don't want to leave this earth unexpectedly. I will be looking into the meds that you spoke on. I actually play Pokemon Go daily. This is a game that I am very fond of. When I "chase" Pokemon, I am traveling and exercising. I started playing this game as a bonding tool for my son and I. Being outside exploring different places, I am doing my very own "Physical Therapy". I know my own body and when my body tells me to stop, I do. That was the issue with regular physical therapy. My body didn't really like those excercises all the time. I also love drinking water. Especially when you quench that 🚰 thirst. I also love eating fruits and veggies. Thank you for another informative video Dr B.

I cut out soft drinks years ago even before I even had any symptoms of MS. I have always eaten red meat and chicken. Vegetables have been a challenge because we don't always buy them. I personally love broccoli and cauliflower. I'm not a big salad guy unless it's spinach, shredded carrots cucumbers and a little blue cheese dressing.

Thank you for making people aware that you should go to doctor about vitamins you're planning to take. My family have a weird thing where we just don't absorb vitamin D. I need to check my levels to see if I'm weird like this. No other numbers are affected, only the vitamin D. But if I didn't discuss with my family and with my doctor about it I wouldn't have known. Otherwise I was told a general multivitamin was safe but all levels were within normal limits with only my potassium dropping one point below ideal at my last meeting. I see a lot of people swearing by all these supplements without talking to their doctor or checking their levels and it worries me. I will say working with a neutricianist helped a lot with confidence in eating. My husband has severe allergies which led to severely limited diet, now we are more aware on how to test for a new food and allergy. To the point we've tried coconut (one that came up on his list) and it seems it may be certain forms. Random thought. Would you recommend allergy testing for foods etc?

Thanks again Dr Boster! I’m just curious if you’ve ever heard about dairy being a bad food for MS. I’ve followed this for a long time. The supplements I take are D3, K2, Lutien, Circumen, vitamin E, and B12. Used to take others but dropped them after returning from Japan where many people take no supplements at all.

Thank you so much for your videos! I just wanted to double check on your caution about immune boosters. Because theoretically this can negatively impact MS does that mean that we should also be cautious towards vitamins that support the immune system like vitamin C? I personally take 2 Flintstones a day along with 4,000 IU vitamin D3. Thanks again!

Thank you. Good to hear this because people kept saying there's a wonder pill. One went on to say that if I do a massage with someone he knows, I won't be disabled anymore. Then another told me not to take medicines or DMD, but only natural supplements. This is really helpful. Whenever I want to take any supplements like magnesium, I'd ask my specialist first. Real food? My husband and I have been going on a journey of cooking organic, less salty, less sugary food. What we cook would most definitely go bad the next day (the latest) if we don't refrigerate. As for fruits, my husband has tried to buy fruits each week after I had another relapse while on DMD. By the way, Biotin 600mg and D3 (now increased to 2000IU+225mcg) is prescribed by my specialist for my case.

@@aditya50499 I'm not sure why I didn't get any notification, but yes, I asked her and she said 600mg. I noted and bought it afterwards. After my latest relapse this year, she prescribed Neurobion. It's a challenge with my MS since it's so aggressive, highly active and unpredictable. By the way, my D3 is still low despite that increase in supplement.

Thanks for the video, very useful as always. A few days ago in the Dutch news 500 sleep-specialists were warning about the use of melatonin to enhance sleep. Their message was that it is very good at recalibrating the biological clock, but that it could disturb this clock by as much as one hour per day of taking it for falling asleep. They also said that it might help you fall asleep 10minutes faster, but that the negative effects far outweigh the positive ones. What is your take on that?

Hey Dr. B! I have a deficiency of CD8 T cells (genetic) which prevents my immune system from adequately killing my EBV infected B cells, so I also have an elevated CD4/CD8 ratio. Is there any way I can increase my body's production of CD8 T cells? I think Ocrevus is great for this as it kills mature B cells, but I'd really like to know if there's something I can take to increase my Cd8 cells specifically. Thanks :-)

Thank you! This video is very informative. I have a question about the healthy diet tho. I know eating no sugar and no process food helps tremendously our health but it also helps with loosing weight witch is good. But in my case since my dx I lost a lot of weight and I am under my healthy weight now. How can we eat healthy without loosing weight? Whenever I quit soda I loose automatically. I tried increasing calories and exercises to gain muscles but it makes not much of a difference. Are the meds responsible for us loosing weight? I know some people with Ms gain but I am not the only one that noticed the opposite.

I've also heard others say that people with MS should not eat eggs, so what is the deal with eggs from your standpoint, truthfully; should I continue as I am or do I need to be mindful of my consumption of eggs?

Wow so glad I do understand there's no cure no quick fix or a magic pill. So I started being my own advocate, yes I do check regularly with my dr with labs, mri's, ck up, mammogram, twice a yr dental ckup cleaning, so I do ck on regular bases so I can help myself at home along with my food menu, not big on fast food, package food, dont like chocolate never did not a sweets eat or big meat eater, guess I was born this way, but I'm still not where I need to be, my family dr said portion portion I like that. What I don't get is protein bars' their more carbs in the bars then protein read and count then. But they wouldn't call it a carb bar it wouldn't sale would it. So I just make my own if want one. I grow my own small garden herbs and even make medicinal, teas so I am trying but still get sick 😫 but it all helps out I can feel the difference.
