Thank you for posting these lessons. I am in process of finalizing my Italian citizenship by descent. My family from Venafro, Molise. It will be so useful!

Thank you so so much for these videos! My grandparents are from Campobasso and the dialect they speak is very similar to Neapolitan. I have a hard time communicating with them so hopefully these lessons will help!

I am working my way through this excellent series of videos. Question: do you know of any newspapers or books written in Nnapulitano that I could access online?
@AaroneStefano4 жыл бұрын
Not that i am fully aware of to be honest, but maybe if you could try poems or song lyrics as an idea? It's a shame it's not a written language as many of us would feel so much more comfortable with learning it, but we promise to keep these videos coming as long as we have the support. So keep it up 👍 and you will get there :)

Okay, i've a hard time understanding this lesson so correct me if I'm completely wrong. Is this a correct sentence: 'Sto jenne a beve' n'acqua.'
@AaroneStefano4 жыл бұрын
Yes, that sentence is incorrect. Both Italian and Neapolitan don't have the future tense with "going to... " in Neapolitan we use the present tense. Moreover, "n'acqua" (a water) doesn't make sense in Italian or Neapolitan: you could say "nu poco d'acqua" (a little bit of water), so you could say "bevo nu poco de acqua". The "ing" form is used exclusively for actions that you do in that moment you refer to.

Also, is there anything in the lesson that you found a little difficult in particular that we could you help?
