oh hey, it me! Just to clarify some things about NickAlive: it's not an official nickelodeon run news site. It's a blog run by a fan of Nickelodeon (like how I run ChipmunkMania). So they have access to the same amount of information regarding the series as we do. Whoever runs the blog is just really dedicated to getting news out, which is why they're such a reliable source. As far as the storyboard scene is confirmed, my theory is this: I think it's a dream sequence from the tour episode itself. It could be that the original script for the episode included a scene where Alvin has a nightmare about returning from the tour to find everything has changed. (It would make a little more sense than having Dangus actually teaching at the school lmao.) The episode itself confirms that they'd be missing the rest of the school year, so they wouldn't even still be in Miss Smith's class when they returned anyway. We've seen storyboards with deleted or altered scenes before so it's not that unlikely. But unless we were to see the original script (or the full storyboarded episode), we'd never really know for sure.

As someone who worked(s) in the film industry/media industry, It is just likely that one of two things happend, The show was straight up cancelled and no more episodes where ordered, or, Bagdasarian productions thought the show had come to its natural conclusion and want to work on something new, therefor ending the show with a tour. I suppose there is a third option, they may just want to retire. Regardless I have reached out but have not got a response yet.

I’ve figured it out When he says “trying to come up with the next new idea for Alvin and the Chipmunks, from TV shows to movies to another TV series that we just finished last year," he’s talking about new ideas that he’s been creating, not about something that has already been existing (the 2015 CGI series). He’s saying ANOTHER tv series, which is regarding another tv series they say they just finished last year as a new idea for the AATC franchise, not the 2015 CGI series. Meaning, he isn’t referring to the CGI series but all he’s saying is ANOTHER tv series is a new idea they just finished with last year. It seems skeptical, especially because seasons 6 and 7 already got greenlit in 2019 and the CGI series is never referred to by name in the article. I believe seasons 6 and 7 could still happen.

@@joelacosta9172im talking about the chipmunk designs, personally I still think Bagdasarian have not completed the 2015 series at all just like in my opinion the live action films were just never completed as the end of road chip made me feel like they expected to do a 5th film at least to, they should complete all their projects properly unless they have a reason like a loss in money which they didn’t lose money from road chip, they just made less profit due to releasing the same the as Star Wars The Force Awakens

My guess is that the show was not popular enough to warrant two more giant 26 episode seasons, and they rescinded their order, or Bagdasarian cut it short to give the franchise time to breathe. I don't think the seasons ever got made. I think some episodes were boarded (some leaked storyboards are floating around). I'm assuming we will get some kind of higher quality film or streaming series, but they are going to let the franchise sit for a while. And I think the next film or show will be much more modern, (serialized, dramatic, shorter seasons, better production value, etc) which would be easier to manage than a constant 26 episode cartoon season.

I am gonna say NO, because they did announced it was canceled back just last year, so i don’t think they are gonna bring the show back in anyway or continue it ethier, i know some people LOVE this show, but after the downfall on the Season 5 episodes that we got, i can see why they cancelled it, maybe hypothetically they were going to continue or something but it is highly unlikely, it’s not like it is in popular demand or anything like that. I know people are keeping there fingers crossed, but with all the speculation that is going around at the moment it is hard to tell, what’s gonna happen, if they did say they are canceled then yeah that’s the truth and we just have to expect that. I think no matter what direction they take the characters NO MATTER what, it’s gonna be hard to differentiate that from the live action movies no matter what and like what you said people will like that more than theses characters, so i can’t argue with you there still today i see more of the live action chipmunks than the 2015 show and i think some people would agree that the CGI 2015 versions look very creepy and weird. It is very highly unlikely at this point and we just have to accept it, also piggy backing on what you said about COVID affecting the show’s run and also not to mention the writer’s strike that happened last year as well, they probably thinking them to themselves that Animation takes A lot of time, like years or so to do, so maybe they were like thinking that they can’t do a one off episode animate a show and come with new characters and settings so maybe that’s why.

I don’t think the writers/actors strikes of last year had much of an effect on AATC if at all. The Bagdasarians do a lot of the writing and voice acting themselves with little help from outsiders. Besides, those strikes both started and ended LONG after production on The Tour wrapped up.

@@lenasyhx I was talking about the 2015 show, and yes the Alvin And The Chipmunks The Road Chip movie released I think it’s in 2015 or 2016 i don’t know cause for some strange reason it hit different countries at different times not sure what is going on there, but the animation to me is not the greatest it looks just awful in my opinion, I’ve seen better animation theses days than THIS to be honest, but i am not sure where people stand with this but i think ALOT of people would prefer the movies than this, at least that’s what other people tell me.

I hope we get a reboot maybe in 5 or 10 years it might be awhile but yes the way it off was very unimportant to Nickelodeon. 95% sure there will not be season 6 and 7 but if that storyboard you showed happens it will be on another network not Nickelodeon or just streaming who knows? AATC franchise is not in a healthy position but I just hope it does not fully die especially when Ross and Janice are no longer with us.

Possibly a film that takes elements and celebrates the franchise. The cast should have people who haven’t been in a Chipmunk movie. My picks are either Steve Carrell or James Rolfe as Dave, and Anna Taylor Joy or Chloe Grace Moretz as Claire (she’ll have more appearances since she’s not a one time character.) I also want to include Vinny, Miss Miller, and the Chipmunks’ blood father, as well as characters from BC (Before Chipmunks) My sequence would be: David Seville and The Chipmunks David Seville and the Chipmunks: The Chipettes David Seville in Island Fever David Seville and the Final Chapter

There is no upcoming Alvinnn special as the series has already ended. And Vanessa Bagdasarian voiced Eleanor throughout the entirety of the series (barring any animation/audio errors).
