This is a wonderful clip from a 1970 NBC TV special featuring many celebrities of the day singing "God Bless America". I am not the first person to send this to KZbin; it's been floating around for a little while. My contribution is to add chyrons (names) identifying each of the singers, as it is my strong belief that many out there will not recognize them all. I have added the birth/death dates of those who have passed on, but added no dates to those still with us. I cannot conclusively identify the African-American man at about 0:47 (seen in the thumbnail), but I believe him to be Paul Reid Roman (March 23, 1936 -- November 17, 1991).
Since I posted this video 9 years ago, we have lost the following:
Hugh O'Brian (April 19, 1925 - September 5, 2016)
Glen Campbell (April 22, 1936 - August 8, 2017)
Roy Clark (April 15, 1933 - November 15, 2018)
Tommy Smothers (February 2, 1937 - December 26, 2023)

@@LilCraftyNook Exactly!!! (todays demoRAT) celebrities would not dare declare their love for the USA. Instead they rather speak about how terrible the country is (while they sit in their mega mansions, with their manicured lawns) Funny that the RATS that speak the loudest about how bad America is and have the wealth to live anywhere on the planet refuse to leave. Instead of paying off college loans which i am 100% against I would be 100% for the government contributing up to 10K to relocate people from this country who believe it is better elsewhere with the only restriction is they can never come back.

What a great performance by a some of the best-known and best-loved actors, actresses and singers of that era. I think I have a lead on who the African American fellow is at 0:47. Another, longer version lists the performers at the beginning and Ed McMahon adds to the list at the end. It doesn't list the man specifically, but it shows a group that includes some African Americans called The Doodletown Pipers. He may have been one of the lead singers of that group: kzbin.info/www/bejne/kGLKkmOvbMiqidE
