These people also supported nuclear war, as long as it was Japanese or Iranians getting bombed. Pride is in fact the father of all sin, and it will continue to breed the ignorance that damages our society. Ironically most people in this comment section miss John’s point entirely… they will still complain and mumble and groan about where the country is headed, instead of following the examples of the great men he presented to us. You’re never too old, you’re never too young. Stop complaining on the internet and do something. Don’t fight or hurt anyone, that won’t solve anything. Rebuild, pick up some trash, be kind to your neighbor. Something! Anything that builds up our fellow Americans up rather than tear them down! Stop complaining on the internet!!!

@@fuku512 Today poll after poll shows the majority of Americans support universal healthcare, ending the drug war, ending foreign wars, higher taxes on the rich and allowing gay people to marry. All of these are typical left-leaning positions. The problem is we are so polarized and obsessed with politicians that we dont focus on the actual issues. If we just voted on more issues directly (like we already do with ballot measures) then I am convinced we would be much better off as a nation.

@@HighStakesDanny God can save the whole world. The God of the Bible. He plans to extremely soon. You'll see. 80 years since rebirth of Jewish homeland Israel is May 14th 2028. the last year for the Generation to see The Lords return. Subtract 2520 days for the tribulation. You get June 20 2021. Sound good? And the Rapture happens before tribulation Believe it or not, this might be the most important thing you ever read… How do you get saved? How do you go to Heaven? What does the Bible say about salvation? Here’s salvation plain and simple: All have fallen short of God’s glory and perfect moral standard: all have sinned (Romans 3:23), and just one sin makes us deserving of Hell (James 2:10). I’ve lied, you’ve lied . . pretty simple. God requires absolute perfection to enter Heaven because He is perfectly holy and righteous. God doesn’t want us to be separated from Him, He loves us and He loves you . . .the Bible says He is a loving friend who sticks closer than a brother. Would a loving God make salvation difficult? Of course not! What did He do to fix this sin problem? God left Glory in Heaven, manifested Himself in the flesh as a human, Jesus Christ, never once sinned, perfectly fulfilled the law, did not deserve punishment, yet He became OUR sin for US. John the Baptist said about Jesus: “Behold the lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” Colossians 2:14 says “Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;” And, right before Jesus died, He declared “It is finished!” In other words, the debt of sin has been paid off in full (past, present, and future sins) by His death on the cross. He finished all of the work, and thus, there is no work for you to do. Ephesians 2:8-9 says “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that NOT OF YOURSELVES: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” After this, He was buried in a tomb. On the third day, He bodily resurrected from the grave and was seen alive by over 500 people at once and also the disciples and the apostles. Hard for you to believe in the resurrection? Well, these disciples and apostles, like Paul, went on to preach this Gospel, were severely persecuted, and suffered horrific deaths for their faith. Would they suffer trials and death for a lie? How do you accept this free gift of salvation and forgiveness of all your sins so that you can be promised everlasting life? Jesus answers this in John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever BELIEVETH in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” When Jesus spoke to Martha, He said: “ . . I am the resurrection, and the life: he that BELIEVETH in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and BELIEVETH in me shall NEVER DIE. Believest thou this?” (John 11:25-26). Do you notice a common theme here? To be saved, all you must do is believe the Gospel, that the Lord Jesus Christ died for all your sins past, present, and future, was buried, and rose from death on the third day, and trust in that alone for your salvation believing that you can never lose your salvation because Jesus paid it all. The instant you do that, God seals you with the Holy Spirit of Promise and promises you everlasting life. Therefore, since salvation does not depend on your own behavior or works or commitment to God or maintaining your faith, but depends solely on Jesus’ finished payment for your sin on the cross and defeat of death when He rose from it, you can be 100% sure that you will go to Heaven. 1 John 5:13 says “These things have I written unto you that BELIEVE on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may BELIEVE on the name of the Son of God.” I pray that today is the day of your salvation. Jesus loves you, and I love you too. The book of John and Romans are great places to start in a KJV Bible. God bless you. Please let me know if you have any questions at all. :) Here are some additional verses: Acts 16:30-31 “And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.” John 6:28-29 “Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.” John 6:40 “And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.” John 5:24 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” Titus 3:5 “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;” Yep

It’s funny, the message here is to take accountability and take responsibility for your actions and for the future of your country. But the majority of comments are lamenting about the other side in politics, about how the country has lost something in the past. Blaming the media, democrats, republicans, and whoever. Listen to the video again. The problem is that we’ve focused on complaining and lamenting instead of taking action toward our vision of the future. Things can be better - it’s up to you.

Spot on. It doesn't matter the political side anymore- the problem is that we can't disagree and still respect the other, to debate as adults- instead, we insult and attack each other with hate. When the hate is so strong on either side, both are guilty- we will always lose. peace, brother.
@vokay
@vokay 2 жыл бұрын
And ofc politics have ALL to do with this, and it doesn't take a genius to realize which party is bringing the world/America to the grave. With their conservative views, clinging to a rose tinted lens of reality, or as the video presented it the then 50 year olds complaining about America going to shit. Now, we have the same people -their grandkids crying about the same things, clinging to their outdated ideologies and realities, instead of focusing on what needs to be done NOW. Surely, a bipartisan campaign to fix the economic, environmental, and social problems that face America now would be great, but only if both parties are in line and agreement with those sentiments, from most perspectives it's only a singular party that holds these values.

He also was threatened with a lawsuit from his film studio if he walked away from his contract to enlist. Yes he could've enlisted anyway, but there was little point at his age. If you want to talk about Hollywood hypocrites mention Sylvester Stallone, Chuck Norris and Mel Gibson, who avoided the Vietnam War while later portraying 'Nam vets in their 1980s action movies.

I swear, it was kinda eerie how alive they looked! Even had the so human like, sparkle in their eyes! Wayne was just like you see him here, and his hand was like a bear paw compared to mine, when he shook it. I gave him our ph# which I still remember even now, and told him to call some time. He said "well partner, I will" in that bold, unmistakable voice. I cried a lot, years later as I read his obituary. He was so larger than life and felt like family to me after meeting him.

@BattleAngelFan anarchy has never worked and it never will because you need a force to stop someone from raising to the top and stopping chaos. In pretty much every 1st world country you're free to do whatever you want as long as you abide by the law. Taxes are used to keep services like the police, army, firefighters a thing. A place without government would be a lawless hell. We humans do much better together then when we're separate. A government keeps order without stomping on your rights because you can pretty much do anything as long as it doesn't hurt others. Unless you have a new arguemnt where you can get the benefits from a central gov anf stop the downsides of no gov then you're wrong

Nah I dont want to be an alcoholic, adulturer who was a racist and justified the genocide against natives and married multiple times like John Wayne. I really cant figure out how to qualify as someone to idolize by right wing types. Simply say the right buzz-words on TV like "America first" and "God bless America" then proceed to go and have an affair on my wife like John Wayne and get violently drunk? Is that really all it takes. Sheesh.

In a few decades you’ll be forgotten and replaced by people wanting a return to the “simpler” or “greater” days of the 2020s, just keep that in mind whenever you talk about wanting to destroy the generations of hard work that brought is to where we are now. Do you think Jesus would want people to fight and save a country like the US? A country that has murdered 60 million babies in the womb? A country that unjustly invades other countries to gain their resources? Do we really think that God wouldn't judge a country that does evil like that? In my view that makes the United States the worst country ever existed, and I can't help but think that God must think the same way. Stack up your treasures in heaven because this country and world is falling away quickly. Jesus is coming very soon, do you know him?
