@@adio8824 So what makes a good villain in your opinion? For me they need to have a driving force behind their choices and not be plain evil, but show a spectrum of emotions. Aatrox is all about slaughter, gore, violence and screaming because he needs enemies so that one day he finds one that kills him and if he doesn't? He will destroy the world itself and hope that ends him. If he stops killing he will go back into the blade and eternally suffer until somebody else picks him up, the only choice he has is further killing - that's a good villain for me.

Ok so aatrox is a champion of a and empire called "sheremiah", he was the a sort of icon being respected by many heroes for being true and just, one day his empire sheremiah and another joined together to fight against a rebellion and they did win the battle but of course there are fatalities in war and that included aatrox. Eventually the empire sheremiah, and since the empire is no longer standing they went under a new name called "the sun born" but over time they started changing and another war started over the ruins of their world the mortals who ran away called the sun born by a new name, "the darkin" and as the war continued aatrox's sword basically like absorbed him one day and has been absorbing other people who touch the sword. and he lost his mortality and became immortal and when he absorbs people they are completely dead essentially, only aatrox's mind/ consciousness is present in the sword Edit: I haven't played the game myself but from this line here 0:10 it seems he does consider himself, well himself even tho his mind is the only one there and none of the other consciousness of the people he had absorbed aren't there

@@nicetroy I think it's more to do with how long they have been "active". As far as I know, Rhaast has been dormant since he was originally sealed in the scythe. His bloodlust from the Darkin War is still fresh, and the only body he has ever possessed is Kayn's. Aatrox has been going from host to host for hundreds of years. Living, fighting, dying. On repeat for centuries. His desire for battle would have died a long time ago, but that's all he can do. Just wants the cycle to end.

Been listening to this for months. Just makes me want to see a series of this character or any adaptation of telling his tale. This is a true villian. One who has been a hero and his sad fate, his despair changes him. Embracing the darkness. Abandoning the nobel ideals once held as a hero, finding hope as nothing but a Lie. “I am dammed, but I will remake this world in my dark image”. You can feel how rage in pain lies in his words and voice. Whoever voiced this character is a damn legend. We only have audio and a picture here but you can hear and feel so much from how he speaks. Ending it with “With have horrors to sow, lives to reap, let me make them regret being free” This alone is such a masterpiece of a quote.

A creature known as a "darkin" in league of legends. To sum of the lore of the darkin, they were once ascended warriors who would protect a land called Shurima. However during a war against the void they began to become corrupted, some of the ascended anyway. One of those who started getting corrupted began to utilize blood magic which only further corrupted some of the darkin. In response a war against them was made where many of them were sealed away, they were all sealed in weapons mind you. Aatrox, the one in the video, was one of the strongest and his seal after breaking left him mad and broken. He spiraled further and further downhill as more and more people became his host, fought over and over, died and repeated. Aatrox is a man who's body is so strong that he cannot die, he's immortal so he cannot age, and so in retaliation for the body the world gave him he wants it's destruction so he may rest and hear silence. That is his wish, death.
