What a weird game! I got absolutely rekt by a Yone while playing Morde recently, any tips for that matchup? I was losing every trade, probably just skill issue

Yone is a tough one for Morde, the best thing I can think of is wait for his R to use your W which can mitigate his damage, try to use tour E on him when he goes for minions, you should be able to reach him if he doesn't stay really far away, try to zone him as much as possible and buy armor, you really can't go full AP against yone (I suggest going at least one or two tank items in general). Be aware of his clone, if he uses it and then you R him he can cancel your domain (I think not entirely sure in current patch)
