Bought one of the Cyma colt 653 replicas from TaiwanGun when it was on sale. Great gun; out of the box mosfet and it fits real skinny handguards! If you go that route though, be prepared to remove the heatshields, grind some plastic, and get a *very* slender lipo pack. Went with JG for my xm177 to save a few pennies; it's a good gun, but not quite at the same level as the Cyma!

Hi, I love these retro style AR’s, and since so much stuff is out of stock at the moment, I was thinking of getting this as my first AEG. Would you honestly recommend this as a good starting AEG?

I recommend this as well, tough construction, easy tune up, and this retro look.. Amazing. I'm using cm009D colt commando, very satisfied. In Poland we can make this to 500fps +⬆️

Urgh. M4 Handguards on an XM177. The rest of the gun looks good though. Shame we can't get them shipped to the UK at the moment.

Yeah it’s to get the Nimh battery underneath. They take both the slim G&P and the real slim handguards from Brownells though. I’ve tried both.

I bought some from a "friend" for my Blood Diamond CAR15 build. Slim handguard fits 99% ok, it moves a little bit but barely noticable

I got mine today. As it seems one of the last ones available from Taiwangun currently. The bolt catch/release did not work, I took it apart and re-connected its spring, but it is still not closing the bolt when pressed. It seems things are a bit tight around it in there. I can live with it for now and try to solve it next time I take it apart.

Always the first thing you should do in such cases is to contact our techs. Maybe there was a chance to repair it easily, even without tearing things apart.

those are different replicas, but both perform amazingly good, so this is up to you and your liking which one you'll choose

I might be a bit late with the reply, but the upper receiver has the carry handle integrated (like older pattern AR-15's) which can't be removed.

Cmon only 55m range test ? I would need for my AEG 80m+ But okay I understand, this gun is base build from factory, and for that it is a great gun! More and more respect belongs to cyma because they make oldschool guns like XM177E2 or M16a1 ala Vietnam for a good price. I love these oldschool rifles of cold war era etc.

@@KrakmanTaiwanGun 200m? This is inmposible even for hpa snipers. 100m or 120m range maybe. My GP M4a1 with M130spring and some other custom parts are at range 75/80m at efective range of killing enemy with 0,30/0,32g bls bbs / 2,3/2,5joule. 500fps/ In my country where I live, we have no limits for guns by goverment. Only specific actions some kind of cqb etc. and a price for upgrades a few year is cheaper and cheaper than before. I love nature, so I use bio bbs from BLS and those are great. By the way DMR? My rifle is full auto at all :D at short distances is dangerous, so I only shoot semi. If you have such a powerful AEG you must be a careful and smart.

This replica does not have a programmable MOSFET. This MOSFET is just keeping the gearbox from the risk of burning out.
