@@GK-nq3co How? They all average much, much lower, and strike way, way slower. Devilliers avg over 50 and strikes over a 100! Not even in 2024 has anyone come close to touching that. He makes great bowlers look average, survives in tough conditions and even sores fast on difficult pitches where someone like Kallis would honestly struggle to score at any good rate. AB avg's over 50 in test cricket too! But you could argue that the players you mentioned are better in tests. Especially Tendulkar and Kallis in the 90's)Nevertheless, AB was number 1 test batsmen for almost three years coming in at number 5. Three years! Tests! And btw, his worst format is T20 cricket-- even though his talent allowed him to still have a magical IPL career. I'm sorry but you are living in some nostalgic dream world cause those players you mentioned don't have the skill, shots, or psychological ability that AB has ( they come from the 90's after all (different skill set, temperament ) --- traits that he used to elevate ODI cricket and take it to new heights and places that the others didn't do. Sangakarra avg 41, striking at 78. That is just so mediocre.
