@@santoshgp8817 Appreciated, but Kohli's stats are also very good. He doesn't have 31 ball-ton but his ODI stats, especially in run-chases, are unreal. There is a significant difference if you combine all three formats of international cricket. Now, if you're talking about the 4th innings of tests, then there is Williamson who has been phenomenal in the 4th innings. [Nobody, I mentioned here, is the greatest batsman in the history but they all are among the all-time greats of the history of the game including AB de Villiers]

I know its a bit of a general statement but playing half your matches on flat tracks allows you to score better runs than batsmen from SENA. Thats also partly the reason why a lot of our bowlers dont manage to get stats like their bowlers as their pitches are more balanced and sometimes more bowler friendly. Kohli is a class apart but I feel that devilliers has a slight edge over him in a few areas due to the reasons mentioned above

He has also dominated every bowler of his time. Longevity is the metric to tell if he's the greatest or not. A lot of people come and just say x is the greatest in terms of power hitting, y is the greatest in terms of defence.... Blah blah. Fyi Sachin scored most runs for india everytime he played and has a major win % when india won. Maybe Kohli has more of this % but he has supporting bowlers as well which Sachin never had. There can be arguments, alot of them but stats say something. Everyones given an opportunity to play and end their career, Sachin got the most of it and hence he's the best of all time. Actually its a sad fact as I'm a fan of Kohli but watching cricket for more than 10 years made me realise good players come and go but one names always there time and again... Hope Kohli breaks his record someday or maybe not....

Yet, ABD scored a rapid 96.
