Aba is a city in the southeast of Nigeria and the commercial center of Abia State. Upon the creation of Abia state in 1991, Aba was divided into two local government areas; Aba South and Aba North. It is located on the Aba River. Aba is made up of many villages such as; Aba-Ukwu, Eziukwu-Aba, Obuda-Aba, Umuokpoji-Aba and other villages from Ohazu merged due to administrative convenience. Aba was established by the Ngwa clan of Igbo people of Nigeria as a market town and then later a military post was placed there by the British colonial administration] in 1901. It lies along the west bank of the Aba River, and is at the intersection of roads leading to Port Harcourt, Owerri, Umuahia, Ikot Ekpene, and Ikot-Abasi.

What is wrong with the people? No clear street but rubbles in the name of trading tables. Every city in the east it is the same scenario and to me it is evidence of lawlessness or absence of management.

Aba is still a slum. The trading needs to be organized. People just stick a shanty shop or items on the street/roads and begin to sell. Everywhere shouldn't be a market

As long as Aba is a commercial area, everywhere should be market as per Nigerian standard, but knowing the fact that Shanghai is the commercial city of China and yet one of the best cities in the world gives your opinion a validation too. But remember this is Africa
