I know this place well. I can remember when the old buildings were still in use. Now there's high no wire fencing around it. Was such a bad place, and a very very dark history. I often wonder what became of the cottage parents that were so bad to the young boys there ?

the new one is built on the same campus. I was here for a 1year 9 months at the new one. walking pass them and living next to them every day and night was crazy.

I grew up in CLT. My friends and I used to go here to explore and drink/get high lol, before it was fenced off. Saw and heard a lot of crazy things there!

I was there in the 70,s. It was bad with mis treatment. I have seen a lot of it

It's reminds me of the asylum/developmental ctr in Staten Island. Various stages of decay .. Eastern State Mental Hosp Williamsburg is going the same way.
