I was surprised to see the breech swing open! These were the most powerful tanks of WW2. Their last use was in 1986 at Chernobyl, they were used for knocking down walls of Reactor #4 by ramming them.

That was really cool, it would have been a blast to be working on that project. I'm a bit dissapointed that after all that cranking we didn't get to hear and see it start up for the first time. I'm curious about the way the gun was demilitarized though, in the US we usually just pour concrete down the gun barrel, it's just as effective, but doesn't effect the look of the gum.
