I worked down there from 24th August 1993 up until it closed on the 23rd November 2017. A great place to work, worked with a great bunch of lads over the years. Great banter and proper hard graft

What an interesting video. You guys did an excellent job. I walk my dog past this site and I really wanted to look around the place then I find you've done it all for me. Sad to see it abandoned. Many thanks for sharing your experience at the Coalbrookdale Foundry. A little gem of a film.

Thanks for putting this online.. My family worked there over decades, I worked in that dressing shop - grinding unwanted bits of castings for AGAs and Rayburns :)

Omg. I have so much history here..... my ex father in law was manufacturing director at the Sinclair works and I THINK he was responsisble for shutting down the Coalbrookdale site. As to the Aga building, I definately have history there.....I had a "liason" in one of the offices there with a girl from Birmingham who was working there for a short while!!

3:00 That machine, the comptometer is a type of adding machine used to calculate things such as payrolls, accounts etc. Quite a valuable bit of kit from a historic point of view I would say, although they aren’t used anymore, it might have fetched a few quid to a collector.
