I remember going here in 2008 and I loved it! My favorite was the UK, it felt like we were in the 1960's. They had go go-dancers in costume dancing in the balconies, street bands playing on top of busses, and of course a telephone booth.

Wow it looks bad now. We took our kids when it was Hard Rock Park. We spent a whole day there and really enjoyed it. The admission price was expensive but it included all the shows and events. You could go to them as many times as you wanted. I remember the big Statue of Liberty with the sunglasses on. I enjoyed the video!

Me neither. And didn't see any "do not enter" signs. But most of it is behind fencing, so we did have to ride around to find an opening/drive way. Thanks for watching.

Couple tips if you guys go there: You don’t have to climb the front gate. If you go down the adjacent street a lil bit, you’ll see a church. Park there and hop a tiny 3 ft fence and you’re in. If you try to get in the main way, you’ll have to scale a much higher fence and it’s a longer walk to the park. There is a pretty cool abandoned grocery store at the front but that’s about it. Not really worth it, plus police patrol the front parking lot there and truckers stop in that parking lot. The church parking lot is the best way to be covert and it’s right next to the actual park with all the cool buildings to climb.

Thanks for the info. We drove past the church or Medieval Times, can't remember - and the road took us through the gigantic parking lot to the main gate. That is an excellent place to take someone who is learning to drive. Very wide-open. Thanks for watching.

I remember when they floated the idea of a theme park where Market Commons is now. For some reason it never gained traction. Thankfully they didn’t because it is a very nice area now. Good video

Hard Rock filed for bankrupsy the year they built and tried to open the park. Adding to their dept was the ultra expensive rides they tried. Led Zepplin coaster was a monumental expense. It was sold off to a Singapore company for mere pennies on the dollar. Now it is nothing but a graffitti pit, and they destroyed Wacama Potery for the land. So sad that MB has all become this way

thought i read former mayor owned the property, but think he just passed away, correct? shame to see places around the area like that. they should have never torn down the pavilion area.

Not sure who owns the property now, but it is a large piece of land. And you are correct about the pavilion. It would have one day been considered the 8th wonder of the world. Had they'd left it up and running. lol. I read that the pavilion owners and MB had a dispute on building the boardwalk and when MB said no, the owners pulled out. Then several years later, MB built the board walk.
