Best videographer ever! I love the way you talk to us throughout the video but speak softly. Actually, you’ve ruined me ...... I don’t watch other vids of this kind. I would love to have those gorgeous tiles in the first bathroom. Those combined strategically with the white ones would make a beautiful kitchen backsplash or broken pieces used to make a gorgeous tile and grout table top or flower vases. Those tiles bought new today would be $15-$20 each. I hope somebody salvages those before they demolish that house!
@urbexindigo51646 жыл бұрын
Hey Reese great eye for details you have! :-) Yes and that is exactly what will happen. I have been keeping watching of how the salvage teams in the abandoned block are going about their job and these are the things they go in and rip up and save. they pick they place apart then the demo teams come in and knock down the rest. :-)

My thoughts are that a family member was moved in with the knowledge that the house was going to get demolished as it appears that boxes weren't unpacked and the occupant was living very simply and lonely too it seems. Obviously the possessions aren't significant. I felt sad when watching this. The occupant obviously had a zest for learning through books. I appreciate you responding to most of the comments too. It's good to know that the interest in abandoned buildings is something that can be discussed.
@urbexindigo51646 жыл бұрын
Hey that is a very good yet different take on this house and the occupant. Very could be this indeed. There is no doubt this home and the one next door will be demolished. I guess the mystery is will the belongings of this man be salvaged by family or the demolition crew. :-) I like reading and replying to the comments because I learn stuff and the keen eye of you guys is better than mine in a lot of the cases. haha :-) Thanks for watching again Nessa!

Nice slow hand with the camera, no motion sickness 🤗. The house didn't feel haunted, but anxious . . . I had a knot in my stomach because I felt the resident might return any second, and the house gives off a similar vibe, as if it's waiting for his imminent return. He had to have died suddenly, because he wouldn't have left those ashes and his religious texts behind. The place had the look of a childless, introverted hermit (I know something about those 😬). I doubt if he ever had visitors. Anyhow, great explore 👏🏼👏🏼👍🏽👍🏽
@urbexindigo51646 жыл бұрын
Great assessment Kathy! You and Ana know your stuff! The ashes are still making me cringe a bit because I would hate have dropped them or something stupid by accident. The man seemed to be quite happy in his home doing his own thing quietly until he passed away. RIP.

Did you see recently the story of a developer who moved into a vacant and apparently abandoned house maybe 25 years ago. He restored it and improved the property over that time,payed the council rates and rented it out. Legally he owns it now because of the Squatters Act and he is looking at making 1.6 million dollars from its sale ( it is in a very desirable location in Sydney or Melbourne),pure profit because the rentals would have covered all his renovation and improvement costs over that time. Something to think about with all these apparently abandoned properties.
@urbexindigo51646 жыл бұрын
Hey Clive I did indeed see that story! And what an outcome for the bloke! Wow. It makes me wonder about a few that are still sitting around this way which are very run down but show no signs of new developers coming in......Hmmmm haha :-) I guess estates can kind of sit in limbo if the children are occupied with their own lives and pretty well off. A small property may be all but forgotten about if they are interstate particularly. Thanks for watching mate :-)

Hey Happy Wife thanks for watching! :-) Yeah another thing I noticed is that the orange book in the reading room had no dust on it.......Everything else pretty much had some dust or cob webs. Dust only accumulates when windows or doors are open though usually.......

Someone was living there. A homeless person with no privacy. They probably locked both doors and used the window themselves to attempt to deter this type of thing from happening. Don't get me wrong, I'm addicted to explores but I strongly feel that this one was a mistake.
@urbexindigo51646 жыл бұрын
Lynette I`m hearing you and if you read through more of the comments you will see that I tend to agree. This one was deceptive and yes maybe a homeless person comes and goes. Thanks for watching, you are obviously passionate and intelligent for this genre. Cheers from Australia.

I have been in "abandoned" houses, for example my sister in law's father died, they did not get notified, until 3 months later, so when they went to his place other family had taken valuable items, but still there were some left, even I took some for the garage sale, still so much left, we couldn't take everything, and still the place is still abandoned, because of legal issues, so many relatives involved and not resolved, if I want to, i could go live there, it is very nicely located in the city, close to everything, they are not able to rent it, due to so many of them involved and not agreeing with the sale of the property-or lease.
@urbexindigo51646 жыл бұрын
So glad you have explained how this situation can unfold because it actually explains a lot of these houses I visit. They are clearly vacant and have been for a long time but there are belongings still there as if no one moved out. Such an intersting but easily overlooked reason for this outcome. Thanks agian Luz Maria Rahla :-)
@rahla536 жыл бұрын
Some cases takes months and years to get the legal issues taken care off, some give it up, therefore the houses end up abandoned, in this case I mentioned, 7 siblings are involved and the wife's sisters or something like that, so it is a mess-
@urbexindigo51646 жыл бұрын
Oh wow! What a mix up and slow process that would be. Good for us cheeky explorers snooping I guess but as long as only look and not break in. :-)
@cruizzer776 жыл бұрын
It would always be so interesting to know the stories behind abandoned places! Why did someone pack the stuff up and then stop when almost done? Was it the person last living there who did it or someone else? Was there probably more stuff that was actually moved and what we see is only the rest that was left behind? One other possibility I can come up with is that the person had to move to a nursing home, started packing things up and then found that he or she could not take nearly as much stuff with them. Some nursing homes allow people to bring own furniture and that would explain why there seems to be very little furniture left in the house. I would have liked to know what watch that was in the closet. I could not imagine it still being there if it was an expensive one though.
@urbexindigo51646 жыл бұрын
That is a pretty spot on couple of explanations mate, could very well be. Indeed there should have been more furniture and so much effort into packing but not taking it anywhere......These are the intriguing questions these explore keep asking. :-)

I'm curious to understand why there was SO much structural damage to the building. Are there earthquakes in Australia? A house can settle a lot over time, but there was just a lot of huge cracks and generally a house in that bad shape might be condemned because it is very unsafe. Any idea on why there was so much damage? Very interesting video. And my first one from your channel. Thank you so much-- I have never seen anyone urbexing in Australia before. I LOVE to see all of the products and boxes they came in---the product names are nothing like those from here in America. I'm going to subscribe and watch more of your videos.
@urbexindigo51646 жыл бұрын
Hey Molly! :-) firstly thanks again for your comments and watching! In Australia we do not have many large earthquakes to account for this sort of damage so it it definitely a combination of old homes on settling soil next to storm water run offs. These condemned homes seem to share that in common. There is also an urban renewal scheme in place that targets homes built before 1960 with significant structural damage and they will be demolish for newer projects. So you can bet these type of homes have been condemned for safety reasons and are not allowed to be rented out anymore. They will be on a demo list.

@urbexindigo51645 жыл бұрын
Hi Elizabeth, thanks for watching, yes this one is a tricky.......the guttering has now all fallen off as I saw it the other day again. I think a relative may come and go to read that orange book? The owner most likely died and it technically is not fully abandoned perhaps although the place is open. The home next door has even more structural damage also.
@Slayerjane616 жыл бұрын
Am I imagining things, or does the dark staining in the center of the bathroom floor look like blood? No one moves out and leaves their toothbrush. Are you able to look in public records to see who owns a house at a certain address? There's a site on the internet that shows in my neighborhood where crimes have been reported--gives the address and type of crime (assault/homicide/robbery/burglary/etc.) but I don't know how far back it goes. (Just a thought if you're really curious to know why this home has been abandoned seems like you could find out something.)
@urbexindigo51646 жыл бұрын
Hey Slayerjane thanks again for the support. I have though about looking further in to a few of these homes and I did notice the stain but I didn`t want to make any claims on the spot too soon. I would never provide too much detail on these videos that would cause problems. I know some explorers like to go further with former owners details but i`m happy to keep a bit of mystery and enjoy the scenes. :-)

I found the purple bathtub very interesting.😅 The ceiling in that one room was beautiful.

Hi patricia. :-) Yes ive never seen a bath tub in a dark color like that!!!! This old place has now been demolished. Thanks for watching :-)

Looks like he was a spiritual man, spending his time in peace, solitude and meditation. The photo which you zoomed on is Shri Ramakant Maharaj , spiritual master from Nashik , India. A beautiful saint who left the physical world in Aug 2018. I am lucky to be his disciple.

Hi Paranam T :-) Thanks for watching and shedding some light on this house and the situation, I agree that he must have been very enlightened through prayer and knowledge thus being happy in the next stage of life. :-) Maybe a reletive has packed up the things but does not know what to do with them

Maybe no one lives there but I am sure that someone hangs there, there is some things that has a lot of dust and some things that doesn't have a lot of dust. Why aren't the dishes dusty, or the bed with the blankets??
@urbexindigo51646 жыл бұрын
Hey Patricia I agree with you. Once I got to the Kitchen it did seem like it quite well kept considering the bathroom was absolutely filthy. Maybe a relative comes and goes until the house sold. Those two houses next to each other most likely will be demolished for new ones. Thanks for watching :-)
@roystad89166 жыл бұрын
Either that and the one next door were built by the same dodgy builder or there's some serious ground movement going on in that area,definitely an Indian bloke lived there,good if you could find some background info on what happened to him .cheers for another good find.👍

Thanks Roysta D. There were a lot of doccuments in one box I didnt show. I didn`t really look at them but they could probably tell his situation quite well. Always in two minds on how much to show in these videos. :-)

The cracked walls are interesting to me for some reason. I mean, unless the whole house vibrated, or there was a small earthquake, they shouldn't be like that.
@sarahstrong71746 жыл бұрын
It looks to me like someones planning to come back & collect some of those things.

That is a nice house such a shame it has so much damage.
@urbexindigo51646 жыл бұрын
Hi Halfcatgirl, :-) Thanks for watching. Yes the damage in this house and the one next door is probably the main reason they are no longer being lived in. I think the owner of this one may have passed away.
@susanjones976 жыл бұрын
I think he's more than likely dead now. I think he was put into a nursing home. The dresser in the bedroom is gone. Sometimes they allow the person to bring in some personal stuff.
@urbexindigo51646 жыл бұрын
Hey Susan well spotted! I did not realize that! :-) Yeah I think the gentleman has passed away also, it seems perhaps his relatives or a friend began to pack up his belongings but that is as far as it got. Thanks for watching :-)

Hi Paul With all those cracks and damaged walls in this house I don’t blame these people for getting out in a hurry. It looks like it could fall any minute. I remember the house next door with the cracks in it too. I have a theory I assume these homes are all in Australia, do they have earthquakes there. What else could cause cracks and broken walls but an earthquake? Just my thought. But I have to say that the people who lived there weren’t clean people. Discounting the dust and cobwebs you can see that bathroom floor wasn’t washed in a very very long time. The rest of the place was filthy too. I think you are right that maybe that man in the photo on the wall died there and the family packed up everything intending to take the stuff but never got back there. Now it’s to late since they demolished it. Those are my thoughts on what happened there. Another good explore Paul. Take care and stay safe.

Your music & videos are amazing, I just subbed! All that tile in the bathroom, nice! The inside doesn't look THAT bad I wonder how long it has been vacated? Do you try to find the history on these places? Perhaps family has yet to return to remove items? A shame to let some of those nice objects just rot, I am surprised this place hasn't been ransacked or vandalized. It's almost like the person went to hospital and never returned, maybe has no family. Does your area have earthquakes? With those large cracks in the structure looks like earthquake damage? Nice video!
@urbexindigo51646 жыл бұрын
Hi A10T0ES thanks for subbing and i`m glad you are enjoying my videos. Adelaide area is renown for moving clay soil so these huge cracks are found in a lot of older homes due to natural ground expansion. I find history when all possible but this one I kind of want to remain unknown due to the very fact is seems the person may have passed away and family has packed some stuff up ad may return. The home next door is also abandoned and has major structural cracks which may be the reason these home are condemned. Thanks for your support A10TOES :-)

so often i see houses that are partially boxed up but is never moved out. I don't know what this means. but with the clothes still there, he may have passed away.
@urbexindigo51646 жыл бұрын
Yeah I think that is a good assessment Karen. And when these house come up for demolition and things are still there it`s the demo guys that get to salvage what ever they want before it hits the ground. Sometimes they will give the clothes and good linen and rugs to the Red Cross or Salvation Army which is good.

I'm kind of wondering if it is someone coming in, like family or someone just needing shelter. I'm curious as to why everything is packed up. Like someone was cleaning things out and then changed their minds or maybe they are just slowly sorting through everything to take only what they find useful or has value. Curiosity always pulls at me when I watch these kinds of videos with so much left behind, Like maybe the husband/ relative died and someone else was put in a care facility or something.
@urbexindigo51646 жыл бұрын
I think someone comes in and reads that orange book and perhaps prays too in that chair as there was very little dust on that book! Maybe it is a relative of the former owner who may have been the indian man on the wall photo. This one is def one of those ones that raises a lot of questions. Thanks for watching :-)
