...why the hell would apple throw away phones? As a former employee for apple- I can tell you apple DOES NOT. Throw out any phones! We usually kept selling them, after their discontinued we sell the last ones and the apple stores that aren’t won’t be there any more either send the products back to factory or to other stores... also the broken ones are just put in the back or the employees can take them :/
