Not really, just a bit neglected. Was a former woolen mill town. There is now available 2 massive supermarkets and 3 smaller ones, which have helped kill the town centre. The population is around 12,600. Lots of empty shops that aren't very interesting. I might do a mini vlog to show people all the empty places.

Thanks Fiona, the old gala club was very great full. They were supposed to be having an exhibition in Old gala House saying where they were found an that I was getting a special mention. Then covid hit, so hopefully when it re opens they will display it then 😁

Was kind of wondering about the photos. Looked to be a lot of people from places outside of Galashiels in those, so hopefully they might get sent to various counterpart organisations from around the borders.

The man from the old gala club said once they sort them they will send the peebles ones to someone up there. They don't just have gala stuff in their storage. It covers the surrounding area too.

Hi Thomas, I helped move all the photos to the old gala club and they are sorting through them. When I last spoke to them they said it looks like I found all the photos that were in the paper from 1974 to 2002. Im sure they were planning on doing a display once they finished cataloging them.
