you should go to the burger king on Gratiot Ave in Mt Clemens it has the 60s style. Also I’m from richmond Michigan lol funny you talked about are old Burger king which is a restaurant papous

That's how you know a place has been closed awhile, the foods stinks. My first thought was how much that bread could've helped a local food bank or homeless shelter.

The former Kmart in my area had a bk in the parking lot.When the Kmart closed the bk closed with it.

That Burger King location is on Groesbeck and Cass. There was never a Kmart behind the Burger King there. It was a Farmer Jack grocery store where the Planet Fitness is. I grew up in that area. Kmart was at 15 Mile and Groesbeck.

Actually before it was farmer jack it was a Kmart and nextdoor where the dollar general was and where dollar tree is now was great Scott then Kroger. The Kmart left in 96. The fj opened in 97 and then closed in 07.

Hey Wallie. Where the strip mall being built next to the bk used to be the Original K-chef restaurant. It was a Coney Island after Kmart abandoned it. It burn down a few years ago and was torn down. Did you get a chance to film the closed Kmart a few miles down and 15 Mile and Grosebeck?

I remember the Kmart on Groesbeck Hwy and 15 Mile Road. When I worked at the Kmart on Groesbeck Hwy and Cass and the Groesbeck Hwy and 15 Mile Road Kmart took the load off the Groesbeck and Cass Store when it was very busy on the weekends.

Hi Wallie, I just finished watching this video about the abandoned Burger King in Mt.Clemens. The Planet Fitness Gym in the background and when it was a Kmart Store. I used to work at that Kmart Store from 1985-1996. And I also remember eating at the Burger King in the parking lot when it was affordable and the food was very good at Burger King. I remember when Kmart Closed Permanently on Sunday May 8,1996 on Mother's Day. The old Kmart Store was a Farmer Jack Supermarket and Farmer Jack Supermarket Closed Permanently. Now I'm glad that it is a Planet Fitness Gym. The Dollar Tree 🎄 Store used to be a Great Scott!Supermarket/Kroger and Closed Permanently. The Subway Submarine Shop was the old Kmart Garden Shop. All those businesses are in the same old Kmart Building and nothing has been demolished. I'm glad that you got to film my old Kmart where I used to work at back in the day. I meant to let you know that the O'Reilly Auto Parts Store was the old Kmart Auto Center Center in the parking lot.

There's something MUCH more telling here than the tunnel vision look at the building. I believe that location is off of Groesbeck Hwy. That's the traffic noise you hear in the background. Groesbeck is a major local roadway with a lot of traffic and exposure. Even though strip malls are having a lot of trouble nowadays with the appearance of Amazon, this is a fast food restaurant smack off Groesbeck in the middle of Mt. Clemens suburbia that's been around a long, long time, and the residency and traffic flow is still as vigorous as ever. So, maybe there's a "good" reason it closed. It happens. But the prevalence of restaurant closures and hard impacts since COVID justifies a harder look than that. All the restaurant chains in the area, not just fast food, suffered BADLY from the COVID lockdowns and mandates. From a timeline perspective that's exactly when food chains got clocked in the heads with baseball bats, and some of them haven't recovered. Supply chain impacts, etc. There's a Mcdonalds in the area smack off another high traffic intersection and freeway exits that's been there for like 40 + years. And for the first time ever, unbelievably, I went to go get an Egg McMuffin a couple of months ago at like 8am, historically they'd be open at like 6am (drive through at least), and they weren't open until 9am. And it wasn't a building maintenance issue. Sad times, but we have our "Leaders" in Washington to thank for all of this. And it was intentional.

This is in my local area and I can't believe all these establishments are left this way.....just like the Elias Brothers Big Boy and Long John Silvers across the street, along with the Kmart and Farmer Jack that used to be here behind this Burger King 😞 This used to be a happening area back in the day !!!

Sounds: like there is a tax lean on the property for unpaid taxes. That is bazar they leave the trays of hamburger buns outside or at the location period.

Actually it was a Farmer Jack supermarket. K -mart was on 15 Mile. I used to shop there (Fj) until Meijer opened.

Looks worse now since you filmed, it’s like 1 mile from my home 😮 on gratiot NB just before you enter Mt Clemens there’s a KFC that closed without warning, everything from street looks intact. Thought I would mention it to you 😊

You ought come down to Roanoke Rapids ,n.c. just off i 95. Film the abandoned Randy Parton theater , city invested about 20 million in that site , fired randy after about 2 years i think .Been sold ,foreclosed on so many times I've lost count.

I've been in North Carolina before but I went through Virginia and went on the Bay Tunnel Bridges, beautiful view of the ocean from there. My parents and I went to Carolla, beautiful beach town. I saw an abandoned Burger King in Carolla, but, I don't know if it's still abandoned or not.

Hey Wallie, Love your videos. Always entertaining and interesting. I live in northern NJ and there is an abandoned Friendly's 10 mins from my house. I used to work there from 1997-2010. Not much to see as the previous owner took most of the stuff out. There is also an abandoned Hoolihans and Boston Market both of which look like it closed yesterday lol. Everything is still inside (tables, chairs, computers, cups, napkins etc). That would be a perfect place for a visit and video.
