It's not 1982, opened in 1987 and probably closed around 2009 so yes it's super vintage but it didn't close when it opened is how dumb they make it sound lol. The Burger King that used to be in Maple Hts OH opened in 87 also according to my Dad and it had this decor till it closed in 2011, meaning it looked 1987 till it's end lol. But this one in the mall they found is a perfect relic that stood up well and can be used as a set for a timed scene easily!

I don't see what the big deal is most burger kings are dilapidated and still using the same exact restaurant from the 80s-90s, at-least the ones that have been open in the same location for that long. it's really not all that rare. burger king rarely does/did upgrades. it's one of the things that made them deteriorate as a company compared to mcdonalds that did the opposite. The bk by me had the same inside for at least 3 decades until it finally shut down because of the ghetto vibes kept people away, as well as the horrible service.

The Burger King was literally remodeled in 2002. I remember it. And I think it was only opened in 1987. Its hardly ancient.

I was trying to tell people this, Most people seeing this most likely wasn't born in 2002 most restaurant's from the late 80's threw the 90's till about 2006 all looked the same! But this is incredibly depressing that I'm old enough that this place is consider vintage lol

Part of it was remodeled, but come on- most of that Burger King is 1987 peak design. It's very nostalgic for people who were little kids in the late 1980's/early 1990's.

I ate at this Burger King back in the 90s, at least once or twice. I grew up just over the Delaware line in Kennett Square, PA. The Concord Mall was the mall for me growing up. I wish the old Arcade was still intact. Spent a butt load of quarters in that place. I haven't been in Concord Mall for years, I live in NYC now, but they used to have a pet store that I would make sure I cruised past with a date so she could oh and ah at the cute puppies.

The sprite logo on the soda machine was in use from 2006 to 2008 so it definitely wasn’t closed up in the 80s. Probably during the recession in 2008.

this looks very similar to the Burger King across town before the first renovation in the early 90s. Very retro look that that they had back then. Then they updated it and it changed sometime after about 1993ish or so and it was much more modern.

It's identical to the Burger King I worked in when I was a kid. the only difference we had a drive-thru, and a playground. The office and everything else is identical. Tulsa Oklahoma. 61st and Garnett.

Free refills didn’t even become common until about 1989/1990. The fountains were behind the counter before that.

I didn't hear the reporter say when that Burger King was closed and how long it has been 'hidden.' Pretty lousy reporting. I also doubt the onion ring has been there intact 40 years as he implied.
