Original Woonsocket high School is located in the spot that was once known as Villanova Park. Yes I'm a Woonsocket rocket also. Back in the late seventies early eighties myself and a friend explored every abandoned Mill in Woonsocket. Keep up the good work and be safe out there buddy 👍✌️🇺🇲

Fascinating, as usual. My daughter did a project exploring the Louttit Laundry (previously What Cheer Laundry) during her senior year at Classical. She abides by all the rules of urban exploration. It was amazing.

You do great work. I recently showed my family your video on the Weymouth Naval Air Station. One family member was telling a vet about it, and he asked for the link to show it to his VFW post. Hopefully it goes viral and you get oodles of cash.

I can’t believe someone burned down the Sutton Drive In. That’s so sad. I remember when it closed down. Crazy how so much has changed in the last 25 years.

Recently moved to RI, and it is true. There are so many intriguing abandoned structures here, triggering all sorts of questions and ideas. I wonder whether you would eventually consider creating a book? It could be interesting and provocative (in a good way).

I grew up in North Smithfield across from the little red school house and would explore the ruins of the Stamina mill that burned down. Later we moved to Woonsocket and my cousin and I explored almost every mill and building we could and would also climb a lot of the buildings to get to the roof. Such awesome memories.

Super late, but I'm a Rhode Islander myself. I see you're a woonie kid, and I appreciate what you're trying to do. You should check out the history of the Ponoganset area. That includes Foster, Gloucester, Chepachet etc. I know you did a bit on the mills left over in Foster (my hometown) but there is a lot of history left in the area. Just a thought fell free to ignore me and keep up the good work!

Before I left Newport Naval Station, on my last day there my friend took me to Ocean Drive and right there where I would drive every now and then was that abandoned mansion or what remains of it.

My favorite abandoned place is actually in Massachusetts. It’s called “Joe’s Package Store and Deli” which is totally absurd for what it is.. a small shack on the side of the road with NOTHING else around. In the middle of a narrow valley. It is completely decrepit but that sign is still up, and still as confusing as ever.

Thanks Jason. I’ve always thought you were the most informative of the explorers I follow. I’ve often wondered why this country is obsessed with destroying our past? In Europe there are ruins that have been there for hundreds years. Here if an abandoned structure lasts twenty five years it’s amazing. Keep up the good fight brother. Also, where can one go to watch the full documentary, ‘My Old School’?

I find it tough in a personal way to be so Homer-ish about Rhode Island. Our tallest building ? Abandoned. Our states local baseball team? Gone, left the stadium abandoned. Hell, a major hospital that people were born in and lives saved at? Abandoned. When you step back and think, if you don’t go out of your way, what really is there in Rhode Island ?

Because the state's too d*** expensive and to get these places utilized. That something now is not worth it as far as what it would cost. Can't wait to move to a tax-free state after living him a majority of my life.
