This is so sad. It's like everyone that lived there was just "raptured" up and disappeared in the middle of an ordinary day. Those statues would have scared me to pieces if I walked in that room not expecting them. Very nice job on this video - I'm working my way through all your videos now.

I will not share the painters name, but I found him. The nude woman in the painting is the last picture on his artist profile. I could not find anything about him, felt strange. Lives were lived in this castle, but now they’re gone. Hoe vergankelijk alles is, de levens die zich hier afspeelden, nu is alles weg en vergeten. 😢

It's also possible that the castle was built cheaply, so deteriorating was starting early. And with only a few inhabitants, there could be rooms unused, and slowly filled with stuff you don't need...
