With each video I wonder why the tables are set with plates and so on in these abandoned homes? Did the previous owners keep tables set for use, or do you think that other explores have a habit of setting them up as a mark that they've been there? Always so curious, just thought I'd ask this time.

I was so sad to see the can of beer left in the sacred Tabernacle. Granted, the chapel is now likely deconsecrated but still. The golden symbol on the blue wallpaper is called a Fleur-de-lis - an ancient symbol adopted by the French royal houses. It also symoolizes the Holy Trinity in Catholicism. Love the explores, Sam and Jess.

Everybody wants the new thing the new best thing unstead of loving what we already have. The antiques left behind is just crazy. I really hope someone saves them. Love the video ty!

What an incredible place!!! The booth in the chapel at the back is a confessional. Also, in country houses in the U.K. I think only the family and sometimes staff used the chapel in the house, but not sure if it’s the same in France. The rest of the people in the area would worship at the parish church.

Really enjoyed the mix of adventure and seeing a fantastic chateau. Regarding the bed at :47 I think the wood could be "bird's eye maple". It was used in Victorian times as well as Art Nouveau. In French the wood is called "erable piquée". I think after a regime of food in jars, you folks are up for a pizza fix! 😄

All those sewing machines in that place, and the ass of Jess' trousers is still flapping in the breeze! I'm sure you'll sort it some day! While I'm here, Pfaff is a German sewing machine manufacturer. I have one, bought by my family in 1960. I still use it. Maybe I should be the one repairing Jess' trousers 😂

In reference to the chateau the graffiti which showed “venez jouer avec moi”, come play with me, was super o creepy. Just my opinion but the chapel looked like a small family chapel for the family in residence as well as their staff and their families. And the book cage looked possibly like a small school library and teaching area for the children and lots of quarters for staff, housekeepers, nanny etc. Like a large manor house providing everything the wealthy family needed for themselves and their staff. Such a shame it’s all gone to waste with no descendants to come claim it. Cheers Sam and Jess! Love watching you both! ❤

Oh wow! Beautiful, beautiful, castle. One can understand that it would be incredibly expensive to maintain a building that grand, but what a shame that it’s abandoned. My favorite room? The one with the sewing machines. For some reason it had a fairytale quality. You almost expected a cute woodland creature to be sitting at the desk, wearing a waistcoat and wire rimmed glasses 😂. So happy that you could get in to tour this place and thank you for sharing the experience. ♥️🇨🇦

Australia/ Thanks U2 ! another great find ! I think -'back in the day'- rich people could then afford the 'latest invention'- the sewing machine, but all the clothes for the gentleman and the ladies would have been made -in the house. The antiques- especially the timber cabinets, etc, really need to be saved, as some of the wood is no longer available and certainly the carved craftsmen's work- is a treasure. Its rather criminal to see it just disintegrate with the elements. The BOOKS?- there would be some RARE ones there for sure- such a shame that its not taken/saved/given to museums.

you have to be sneaky when you assume castles of this size are abandoned and they are NOT. These are historical buildings once lived in by royalty, that are unlikely to be truly abandoned. Better to check beforehand before you actually go in, or get permission. You wouldn't have to whisper or be sneaky if you had that permission. An open door is not always an invitation for urbex to trespass.
