The only thing left now. At one point there was four wigwags but they've been removed one by one over the years, except just one lol

Thank you. I knew about this for ages but finally had an opportunity to film it. I'm glad the only wigwag was still standing :)

This crossing actually used to have 2 sets of lights remaining. It was on the opposite side of the only one left. The reason why it is no longer there is because of the new apartments. They had to remove it bc if it was still there, it would be on the other side of the fence. Thats why there is only one set left.

Has the bulbs been taken out for safety reasons? Or has it randomly come out?
@UKLevelCrossingsChannel Жыл бұрын
Probably taken out many years ago as imagery from 2008 shows the bulbs removed as far back as then.

This crossing has almost been hid by a bush / tree.🌳
@StagecoachMANALX300 Жыл бұрын
This must have taken a second look due to how it's almost concealed behind bushes, great work with the catch and it's more unique with the train behind the fence of the now closed crossing. 👍🏻

I think a road called Tavistock Road further down the kind has a disused crossing but I can't tell by Google Maps az I can't get close enough. Great video
@UKLevelCrossingsChannel Жыл бұрын
Thanks. I don't think its disused as trains still use the branch line to reach Colnbrook and West Drayton Hanson site. Not sure what type of crossing it is as I have never visited. Will take a look somepoint next year.

I think the circuits were recovered around 1986 by the West Ealing gang.

It is nestled amongst the brambles and high on the post so could only really be accessible in the winter or by cutting the vegetation down.
@nigelkthomas9501 Жыл бұрын
Interesting. If a train was to runaway it could easily demolish that fence and cross the road.
