Abandoned Creepy Mansion - SCOTLAND

After a hike through the woods with a great friend of mine and this is the first time she's been on an explore with me may i add, we eventually found this abandoned creepy old haunted mansion, don't know much about this place so i'll let the video footage do the talking

Beautiful setting in Scotland, hard to believe it was occupied in 1986 (8:13) looks amazing! The stoves 1960's - the structure is much older mid 1800's. 5:25 the curtains 1970 era. The fireplaces were probably ornate cast iron. Small amount of mold. 13:20 - at least 15 servants when the household was fully occupied. 16:05 a beautiful 1900's white iron bed/ metal spring inset. 16:19 servant's call bell. 17:41 part of a fridge which required block ice on the top shelf.

Wainscotting and walls in acceptable condition. I would almost think the place is close to being inhabitable. Luckily no graffiti or vandalism. Very impressive building when approached from the outside.

All the wainscotting is tongue and grove on the upper floor, That was added much later possibly 1970’s as you will see it was individual room for back packers.The wood panels on the lower floor are original to the house.This is wainscoting.

Kenny Abbott I reckon they were after the Adams fireplaces.These people know what there looking for.I delt with lots of reclamation yards in my time.I was surprised the staircase was still in one piece

Lovely old character house. Really enjoyed the garden. Very intrigued by the fact they seemed to need so much in the way of cooking facilities. Was someone offering meals here (?) is what I wonder. I mean who needs space for 12 saucepans? Was it a B&B? Super view from the top of the house. Thankyou for showing us.

Loved this house. Such a shame that’s it’s been ripped apart and left to rot. The attics were normally kept for maids ect.

Alec: I believe this is the manse for a church. Somewhere in the comments, someone mentioned this also, and that the 'church' is now sadly, a barn...The slate roof has largely preserved the interior - but it seems to have been occupied up until the 80's or so (judging by the stove(s), and that odd electrical panel 1/2 way up the second set of stairs. Speaking of which - WHY? Is the meter-reader going up there to read it? Odd. Anyway, sir - I know you said you happened upon this place on a hike, but you should have a panel LED setup with batteries in a separate pack for this sort of explore - and/or attach a nice powerful lamp to yer noggin, lad! You need both hands to deal with the debris. Anyway, from a 3rd. gen expat Scot (me) thanks for the lovely photography AND the careful 'stills'! James in Toronto

Hi dear. I love ur expropriation . Just some things u most be very care.. is asbestos. Which is highly dangerous and end up to lungs cancer. U can find this building materials in such old house like this houses u visit. Unfortunately this material could be air borne after touch . Plz cover ur nose and ur skin with correct mask. Good luck

If the windows weren't boarded up there would be a lot of light coming into that house. Bet it would look less creepy then. Wise to block the widows though. I don't get all the mattresses throughout. I mean, did homeless people live in there off and on--or what? Neat on the outside with the old architecture.

Very Gothic looking architecture from the outside . Strange how houses can give of different feelings , I’ve actually had to sell previously owned houses due to bad vibes I got from them . Many thanks for an amazing experience. This mansion is majestic. It is the perfect setting for an Agatha Christie novel. What a shame to land up abandoned. The woodwork of the doors is incredible. I was surprised at the lack of furniture. Thanks so much for the dates of the newspapers. It was so sad to see the skeletons of those animals / birds. Oh Wow! Oh Wow! You really did it this time Alec!! I absolutely Love this home, the yard with lovely flowering bushes, and the isolation! If only I lived in Scotland!! I'd purchase, restore original period appropriate; and MOVE IN!!! So gorgeous and commanding on the outside, but so simple on the inside , makes it elegant. Well, just my opinion. Thank you very much for showing us these amazing places!! Hope I get to Scotland some day. What a grand countryside with amazing architecture!

Thanks Alec. A nice explore. Obviously a lovely place in its day. Still looks impressive from the outside. I liked the staircase up to the second floor. The one up to the top floor seemed quite steep. I imagine the top floor may have been the servants’ rooms back when it was built. The wooden panelling up there looked like a newer addition, or was it just in good condition? The original iron bed was a find. Not a reproduction as they mostly are these days. It made a nice photo, as was your last shot of the building from outside. Thanks again.

This was a Manse built for the church, it's a beautiful building and cost £2000 to build which the church itself funded. The little church built in 1839 for which the manse was built, is now just a barn, so sad. Great to see inside.

The larger bird carcass was an owl. I’m not certain what kind, will have to look it up. The bell at 16:25 was for calling the servant. The house is in fairly good condition. It was lovely in its prime. The rhodendrons out front, the shrubs with the pink flowers, are beautiful and healthy. A little judicious pruning needed. I loved this house! Thanks for showing us.

I say creepy. Gray rooms on the first floor. Slightly institutional in a way. Rooms with wood panels a,little better but not much. Wonder what went on here? Long after original owners gone I think. I’ll pass on this one. 🥴

I guess the bed was brought down because someone was either ill or too old to make it upstairs again. 😂When you turned around and immediately saw the blue thing then you remembered it was your friend’s blue hat.😂 The beds look like old hospital beds. Oh that white bed and then the chair behind the door.😳 that was enough for my exploring. The stair railing looked in great shape and all the wood throughout the house. I’d love to see this when it was first built or if someone renovates it. Awesome find Alec!! That was cool!!😊 That was the outhouse with an up to date toilet 🚽 😂😂

The mansion has an interesting Gothic/ Church/Secret Society Club House written all over it! Forget the Spiders🕷! The rooms with the beds, gave me the CREEPS! It felt like a prison...kept against their will? I definitely do not like the vibes inside or outside of that place. 😟Scary as Heck Alec!

Was really quite the place in its time. The 3rd floor was in the best shape! Loved the stairway, the banister was very unique in its wood carvings, very beautiful! Ty for the tour. Tc and stay safe.

It looked like they bricked over the old cooker in the kitchen. That bird was a red-tailed hawk, if you don't have red-tailed hawks there, it was some kind of hawk.
