Sorry if my talk came off as complaining! Certainly not intended that way. My purpose was to talk to those just starting out with cars and getting discouraged by others. I don’t want people less experienced giving up based on the opinions of others, and my experience was just being used as an example. Thank you everyone for watching!

Anyone with a brain knows this isn't some matching numbers restoration. There's always going to be a few concerned Karens on every video, especially when your channel keeps getting bigger
@itsnotadodgerog20504 жыл бұрын
As DrunkenGoose above state: this isn't some matching numbers restoration. With that said, puritanism exists in every facet of life, especially restorations of all types. The goal is to keep the history and thereby memory correct. I have no issues with purists, yet if anyone is so easily given over to condemnation over a non matching numbers build, your puritanical outlook becomes you as your religion. Dylan, your righteousness does not lie in making others happy, pursue happiness in your own way and I'll be in your corner. Lighten up Frances.

Not to stir anything here but didn't mopar use a blue/turquoise on the B/RB big blocks in the 60's and 70's? I'm not a mopar head, and I like to actively learn anything and everything. Even if I don't drive one. I know they made an exception to the blue for the high output/performance motors of that time but I was unaware on why it sprung so much negativity. Like I said I'm not trying to start anything and I'd like to learn more than be criticized. Please inform me on how it wouldn't be true to mopar? Maybe because it's a Hemi and should be Orange? I'm not aware. EDIT: I see now, just cause it's a HEMI now and they came orange. I'd still like any information you care to spread if at all. If not I understand. I like to pick the brains of fellow car enthusiasts as I don't bash people for not liking certain brands due to their heritage. I personally own JDM cars, but I actively help my friend with his 70's duster with the slant 6 in it. I respect the love and respect it takes to keep these cars on the road. I just think it's kinda bad for a car enthusiast to call someone wrong instead of informing someone on whats wrong.

Damn, in USA people are really lucky, they can type whatever they want in their plates, here in Greece, taxes for a car with a 1,6lt engine are really a lot more than the whole car’s value, I don’t even want to talk about the other ones that have a 2.0 engine, I wish I could afford a car with over a cheap 1.4 car, actually, we can’t change our plate The worst part that I believe is that if you find a rare car in the junkyard, you can’t get it on the road again because the paperwork gets “deleted for ever”, that’s what they say, and it is really just a piece of metal, that one sucks a lot, a friend of my friend found a Ferrari F40 without rims in a junkyard, he wasn’t he able to get this car because of the laws

Even though you upgraded to a late model Hemi i like the idea of paining the engine blue because that's the correct color for that model year. Make the car your own, just like keeping the patina and originality of the paint . Its obvious your talented and could replace a door and rocker panel but you chose to keep it the way it was at least for now. Somewhere down the road you may repair it like many of your others. The main thing is your showing the audience how to repair/ replace necessary components to make it safe and a daily driver and not worry if someone scratches . Fantastic build, can't wait to see the car driving once again.. Thank you for the info on your suppliers of components as well.

Hey I'm a Hemi fanatic. I was looking at the valve seats on your exhaust valves and intake valves and they look like some of the seats were falling out. I had to go and redo my Hemi heads on my 5.7. This is because the valve seats were falling out. This is what happens to Hemi heads before they fix the problem. I had to grind out the seats and I had to press new ones in. YOU went through all that trouble to delete the MDS the one thing I would have done I would have taken the cam out and put a stage 1 or stage 2 cam in to give it a different kind of sound. You do outstanding work. And I understand why you want to keep the car the way it is. And I understand why you want to keep the driver side door the way it is because of history of the Car. I love the fact that you use the paint over rust paint. You have outstanding qualities when it comes to fixing a work of art like that.
