Jojo I agree. I have 2 sons & they are good sons, they know to mind their manners they were taught or answer to me..lol.. When their friends slip & say the F-word, they'll say real quick. 'Not in front of my mom'.. I started watching an abandoned house video yesterday & had to quit, was 2girls& 1 guy & one of the girls couldn't say one sentence without the F-word used in some way. I posted & told them that's probably why they only had 17 subscribers.. & few views, & it'd been up for 2 years.. Most people don't want to be watching TV/ videos with family & hear that. I turn it off,like I did them. But these 2 guys are great, don't matter what they do OFF CAMERA, they have manners & respect for us,their viewers.

At five years old, I wanted to be a nurse. Thirty eight years of nursing, and I have loved every minute. You are very good at showing us abandoned properties. The videos are thoughtful, interesting, and well edited. Your reverence for other people's things is inspiring. Some people go their entire lives not knowing what they want to do. You are lucky to have discovered your passion. It's only up from here, keep up the great work, and entertain an old RN on her time off from the hospital! God bless and protect you both on all of your journeys.

Something to remember is that many farmers try to be entirely self sufficient, which explains all the equipment. Tractor breaks, you fix the tractor. I watched a farmer replace an oil pan crush washer with a piece of wire among other feats. You don't throw anything away that could be useful in the future, hence a collection of empty wine bottles.

I lived with my grandmother as a child. The toilet was at the end of the garden and it had a wooden seat much like the one in the video.. We were modern and the toilet flushed LOL. The kitchen become the bath room when someone wanted a bath. The bath was a big tin thing that hung by a handle on the coal shed wall. It had to be dragged in and filled by hand with a dipper from the copper boiler. We lived like that till I was 14. This was in an English village. Thank you for a great video and bringing back childhood memories. ❤️❤️

I love what u guys do & the fact that you don’t have a foul mouth. The film of each home is too short.  u miss all the things I want to see; EXAMPLE; the different door styles, & door knobs, baseboards, all wood trim, sink faucets & knobs, dishes, details on the furniture, main style of book topics. I know, u are saying go do your own show. If I was younger I would. I should have been a snoop in old homes in my youth, but a person just didn't do those things in my day. Much later in life I I did sneak into one log cabin & I only touched the dust with my shoes as I walked in & took pictures & walked back out. I will never forget that wonderful find, dishes left in a white enameled metal dish pan with a red stripe around the top of the bowl. It had a rusted water rings as the water level slowly evaporated out of the pan. It was a big thrill for me, I didn’t want it bothered or harmed, I guess because I loved it way too much for that. I was shocked at the fact that it was unlocked & no one bothered it. I wish it could be saved for the whole worlds to see. These days everyone wants to destroy everything, they even seem to want to destroy themselves & their families, it’s a sad shame how people have so much more in life then everyone had in the past, yet people seem to be much less happy. I wish I know of a way to help people to want to be & do more before time is all gone, & they are only left with only their memories of what they did with all the time they once had. Thx Guys, great job!

Your videos are my favorites! Thank you for sharing. Belgium is amazing, not just for the great old homes, but for how they treat people. In the USA, if you can't pay for electricity, they shut it off AND they charge you late fees and re connection fees 😡

In America in the 1920s to the 1970s my grandparents and a lot of others had a metal watering trough that everyone would bath in. Grandma would heat water on the wood stove to put in the trough. She had 14 teenagers, living children and four deceased. 16 people would take a bath every Saturday in that tub and the water would only get changed once. There was always a fight to get the tub first. I am 56 years old and we used a outhouse until the 1970s, when we were at my grandparents. Me and my grandma washed clothes in a wringer washer. I never heard them complain about the work they had to do. I miss that. It's good to see the houses where you live. It reminds me how similar we all are.

That farm is so beautiful! The elder ones had to move their beds to the dining room because the stairs were insecure for them, and the only toilet is downstairs. There are evidence of several people messing all the stuff after the house became abandoned, even living some homeless for a while. It will be a wonderfull ethnographic museum if restored, all furniture, tools, etc in the right place... Hope someday happens!
@dragonmaid1360

That Stove was probably originally inside the house but most of the washing was done outside or on the porch. That cement area next to the stove may have been an old cement trough originally (I'm guessing as it may have been a bit different here). But old houses didn't have laundries inside originally. Actually here the kitchens were originally the fire place - so many houses had kitchens added on by making the porch or the verandah enclosed. The fruit and vegetables you often find in jars were seasonal so food was preserved so that you could have some in the winter. In Australia our old homes had meat lockers or basements where meat could be salted and kept longer. It's hot here so the basements were cool places away from the flies and the heat. I love the way you can sometimes show how the walls were constructed. Wattle and daub was a common building practice for our very early settlements. Or stone.

Also neat how the animals were just next door to the house so they didn't have to go far to care for their animals. I laughed so hard about the picture of the woman looking at horse poop. I wonder why they took a picture of it. Kitty friend was cute. Love your hair. 😍

Answer to their question about why someone would keep dishes in a bedroom.... the two front rooms were most likley living/dining rooms at one time in the past. Often as people get older, or disabled, to stay in their homes, they must move the bedrooms to the first floor of the house to eliminate the need to go up and down stairs. thanks guys! another great video!

I enjoy seeing all the different light fixtures and furniture and architecture. Your videos often make my day. I wonder about all the stories too. The cradle (baby bed) probably just got put away until it was needed again. Maybe someone in the family even made it. In the second upstairs room the brown wicker looking thing by the window may have been a very old sewing box. I have one but it no longer has a lid like that one seemed to. Loved the barn and especially the black cat. Cats are so beautiful and it looked fat and happy.

I'm just now getting to some of your older videos. This place is soooo cool! I find it crazy to have the barn and the outhouse inside the house. The type of toilet in this house is usually outside in a tiny shelter called an outhouse. My family used one when I was a child. The large tin with vaseline was used on the cow's teats.

the lady of the house must have caned those beans just before she pass away. I'm guessing that the house was so small they decided to move the beds down stairs. and that can of bag balm is used by dairy farmers for the cows in case the utters have any clogs it keeps the milk flowing.

o not all they lived on a farm and guessing the age of the lady in question, canning was done quite a bit in the country this was a dairy farm after all. it's got the original outside toilet and they probably moved the beds down stairs because heating and age I doubt the children where still living there when the house closed down. and yes i do have a cute doggy she is a sweetie likes to sit in rain puddles.
