I should think there would be a museum in Sweden that might be interested in the White Star line stuff and then some. Maybe a Historic Society should take possession of the house?

Leslie..Sam al mondo ci sono tanti ragazzi come voi in cerca di luoghi abbandonati ,fanno video e poi li condividono ma nessuno di loro e' bravo simpatico e preparato e rispettoso come voi! YOU ARE THE BEST! Cio' che piu' colpisce e' il rispetto che avete dei luoghi,la storia e dei singoli oggetti che entrate in contatto! Complimenti 😊

It looks nothing like a French villa. Also if you bothered to visit the local comune the records are most likely available so the internet is really not doing research. Not impressed with your lack of knowledge and laziness

I would like to live in Portugal. I visited there in 2014, and almost bought a villa there, but being single female from outside the country, the bank took too long, and another person or family bought the place I wanted before I got approved. Plan to come back some day, if the world isn't too dangerous by then. So much of the country I would love to explore. Thank you for doing what you do, so we can see bits of the place through your explorations.
@Agetawod14 сағат бұрын
Have to say, this exploration didn't depress me as much as some of the others, since not too many antiques left. Most valuable thing, in my opinion, would be that beautiful carved chest, and the desk with many lockable drawers in the man's office. Shame those will be lost to deterioration.

Probably a full time home, but it’s a hunting culture in the South. PLEASE BE CAREFUL LESLEY IN AUTUMN & December because it’s hunting season, and teenagers shoot before they see the deer or wild turkey… lots of hunting accidents!

It is absolutely a SIN to let that beautiful chapel alter be destroyed. There is no excuse to leave that, or those movable antiques in there. Even if they are only stored elsewhere to protect them until either the house is restored, or allowed to completely disintegrate. Makes me crazy! You will NEVER see the craftsmanship you showed in those pieces. I have seen lots of carved wood, but that was stunning! They should be preserved in a museum of Portuguese history somewhere, as pieces from the famous explorer's home! Seriously! A historical society should pay to have those brought somewhere for safe keeping, and they could still belong to the Cabral family, just preserved somewhere for posterity.
@Agetawod15 сағат бұрын
You had the thought about the servants viewing the religious service through those little doors above the chapel at the same exact moment that I did. They probably would allow them to attend, but not with the family, so that would be the perfect way to allow them to do so. Great minds think alike! :0)

I know you guys have to speak to make these videos, but judging by the amount of mold in some of these places you explore, you probably should wear some form of mask to protect your lungs from getting aspergillosus, or a similar fungal infection. You are breathing in spores, whether you realize it, or not.

This was very sad. Even if they took no knic knacs or anything. You never leave pictures behind. I am sure there is someone in the family that would love to have them. The photos are their life and their children’s and grandchildren’s. They are visual memories. I love looking at photos. I pray that a family member sees this video and goes to the house and gathers things up. Children know their parents as Mom and Dad,not even thinking they had a life before they started their own family. Thy certainly didn’t have a secret life. It wasn’t until after my mother passed away that there was little I knew about her life as a child, teenager, her favorite color, song, etc. I was heartbroken. My brother and I video taped my dad talking about his life from his earliest memories up to the present time. I also took a notebook and wrote many questions to my dad that I wanted to know about him. I don’t like the books you buy. To the people out there watching these videos. The most wonderful thing you can do is talk to your parents and video tape them if you can and get your own book and write questions in in. One day you won’t be able to and you may really regret it. I love you guys ❤ Thank you for doing these videos. I’ll never understand how children can leave things behind. 😞😢 So very sad.

This is one of my favorite locations, and you give it such a loving and respectful reverence for this location. I've seen 6-7 videos on this place, the degradation and damage getting worse in each iteration. One explorer set up the dining room like Alice's Tea Party in "Alice in Wonderland," leading it to be called the Alice House. Several items have been stolen. The mother's closet previously had more clothes in it. I recall the stairs having a railway in earlier videos. As far as the family, I think the mother and one of the daughters had died. The father is now living in Florida.
