I've documented that place multiple times inside. There used to be security there at that hotel. When I went the first time like 3 or 4 years ago had to dodge security to get inside to see the abandoned place. Great documentation and video as usual. Definitely people staying there now. That place is in such rough shape. There is even PlayStations in some of the rooms along with Game of Thrones pamphlets for HBO television. The collapse of the restaurant area was the downfall of this place. The convention center area was phenomenal to see in person.

if you look closely you can see a washing line in one of the shots

@TheLodgeGuys I am definitely going to have to go back and have a look at the wash lines in the video. This was an interesting new spin on your vlogs. Just went back and wow! I can't believe I missed that. Definitely some people there, it's sad. I know I've seen several homeless people here in the past. In fact I was there a few weeks after the restaurant area roof collapsed there were people who parked with power tools literally pulling scrap metal from the air conditioner units that were on the roof. Also crazy to note during COVID a lot of the hotels down Internation drive closed and people actually moved into the abandoned hotels along there. Wouldn't be surprised if some made their way over to this location.

In 1994 I had a friend who got me a job as a bellman at this hotel. It was so busy then, and as a 21 year old kid I would have days where I made 300 dollars in tips! It's crazy to see it like this now from remembering what it was!

The abandoned hotel reminds me of the abandoned US military base on the island of Adak, Alaska. In the mid 90s they just upped and left leaving absolutely everything. Its very earie to walk around seeing the abandoned houses, schools, Burger king and bowling alley. You almost feel like you are on a film set for an apocalypse style movie

The abandoned hotel was kind of creepy, and I think a drone was the best way to see it, because I would feel very uncomfortable walking around a place like that. It has been ages since I’ve been in a Red Lobster; I remember going to one where our waiter pretty much abandoned us, and we couldn’t get refills of tea or even our bill for the longest time.

Yeah. The area of the hotel is pretty rough. I stayed there in a cheap hotel on my own a few years ago. My Passport and all of my theme park tickets got stolen. Even the police told me it's not safe to stay here as a woman on my own. So I moved to I drive. It was a bloody nightmare. I needed to book a 3.000 Dollar Lufthansa Ticket because Norwegian refused to let me board the plane. Even after the TSA gave me the clearance. So stay away from the area. I will return as a Cast Member at Disney for the International Program in the German Pavillion in the end of February. So I will try to fill those nightmare Memoires with some good one!

No doubts there are people living in lonely world. We stayed at the Delta in July and police were in there one evening and forensic trucks too but nothing was ever mentioned on the tv or in the press. Adam the woo took his drone over but the police wouldn’t let him anywhere near the buildings

Sorry for the long post but the Drone footage was incredible and very immersive so well done on the insight you gave us into that spooky hotel. Adding the explanation really gave it awesome context. It's like looking through the keyhole into the past. Almsot like that film with Will Smith I am Legend (Without the zombies :) I went to Charlies Steak house in August by Icon Park and just ordered what I wanted for me and my friends - Only when I saw the 4 figure bll did I realise that it's a pricey place to eat 🤣 Luckily I was on a crypto budget so means I could be a little more spendy haha. Back to 2 for 1 in Harvester till August 2025 trip back over there with the family :) Loved the vlog as always lads. Awesome

On another trip, do try the Columbia restaurant. They are Spanish/Cuban, very good food. They are a bit expensive, but as you are both used to Disney prices, I doubt you’ll be shocked, and it is well worth it. They start you get a fresh hunk of Cuban bread from El Segundo Bakery in Tampa, locally known for great bread. Many great Cuban and Spanish dishes, wonderful 1905 salad (Leigh will like this).
