Wouldn't it be interesting to get a tv show of these places and researching the history of the house and the people who lived there.

Great video bro, I went there a while ago and on the way out we bumped into a farmer what said he owned the land, he said that a lady passed away in 1982 and it’s been abandoned ever since 👊

Didn't she have any family to clean her house out....to inherit the home and land? Did the farmer say?
Sad as always to see a building that was once full of life that is no more just left to decay. An acquired taste in wallpaper that is for sure. The thing that hurts most of all about all these empty buildings with belongings left in is the real lack of Care. Someone somewhere should have made or make the effort to care once someone has died for that person's life possessions.

Good to see the old Jif bottle. They changed all our original brand names to meet the other countries needs/pronunciation. Marathon became snickers, oil of ulay to olay, peanut treats to m&m's, opal fruits to starbust, cheese snaps to quavers, the list could go on. Great video though 👌

The wallpaper in there was Fantastic!! I Loved the fierce expression on the baby girls face at 17:20 ❤️😂 How incredibly sad that is all that's known of her. A beautiful childhood photo slowly rotting away in an abandoned home that's falling down and no name or the tinest bit of information ... 😕❤️

I think the truth is keep life simple to get the most out of it not too many possessions especially in modern digital times you don't need records, cassettes,CDs, books, maps, or video tapes do prefer reading from books than screens though and with paper wall maps they're easier to get your head round

Great little house, or it would have been years ago. The decore is very 1968 - 1974 the colours and pattern of the wallpaper. The heavy iron came with and would have been used on the stove, it wasn't n AGA but similar. Sewing items and other little bit suggest a middle aged to mature women. That doll in the box was a China doll not plastic and worth a fortune. Sad ending for someone who would have spent her life devoted to her family. Thank you for this, as always you show tremendous respect for other peoples life and personal possessions. 💕🇦🇺

The idea of those old sash cord pull up push down windows was open it a little at the bottom and top for hot air to go out at the top and cool air to come in at the bottom. They stopped manufacturing 3mm glass in the UK that balances with the weights in those windows so my father used to dive into skips when people started getting double glazing in the 90s and throwing their old windows with 3mm glass out. Since I found a glass merchant that imports 3mm glass for greenhouses.

Really enjoy your channel, maybe you could do a 'Bearded Explorer Revisits' so we find out what has happened to these places, whether or not they became housing estates, flats or restored to their former glory! maybe some more info about why they became abandoned? Channel 4 manage to do reruns of Kirsty and Phil Location Location and your show is far more interesting!

Great video, as was said it's sad to see such places abandoned and slowly falling apart. It was interesting that most of the photos showed women or girls, potentially indicating that there were no boys in the family, could this mean the family died out when the last female sibling died? If this was Ireland you could usually find some an older person in the area who would know who owned it, how long the family had been there, and what happened. That tape deck at 10.40 , it would be interesting to head what was on the spools. Back in their heyday, they were often used to record family events, reminiscences or history. If only there was electricity switched on abd available. Thanks again for a fascinating explore.
