After sitting abandoned for over 30 years, how dirty will this Jaguar XJS V12 fuel system be? Do I need to pull the fuel tank or can it be saved?

Happy new year Adam . As always , a superb instructive video . I was puzzled as to why one connection on the left hand cam cover was left unconnected and did not effect the running of the engine. Thanks Adam

Lucky owner having you as their mechanic. How did you clean the injectors? Do you have a special machine?

Maybe you could make a comment on gas gauge accuracy correction. I’ve checked my cluster grounds on the flex circuits in the dash. Checked the wiring on the sender. Changed the sender. Still cannot get a “full” indication on my gauge with a full tank of gas. I’ve read, many be not true, that the float rod can be bent slightly to correct the indicator problem?? Any experience with this? Btw, great idea to change the pump. Many of mine have worked fine for about an hour only to lock up on a hot summer day on a long road trip.

Yes, definitely if you are now doing this for a living, but for anyone reading this, please don't waste your money on the really cheap ones, they are total garbage. The Kaiweets KBA01 would get my vote, not ridiculously expensive but a really good performer and excellent tool.

Hi Adam, my hearing is not so good so I have the subtitles on and when I read and heard you saying search tank I looked it up on Google and it came up surge tank. So I don't know whether it's my ears or your accent but at least I know it's a surge tank now.

Haha yes it’s surge tank. My guess is that the subtitle program doesn’t understand my accent.

All my life I've had the same problem as the programs don't get the Scottish accent. All the best Geoff

Hi Adam, I have a 94 xjs 6 cil. My radio doesn't turn on. Do you know if there is a fuse located behind the radio. I have checked the fuse under the dash. Thanks howard

@LivingWithAClassic thanks, I will update you. Also my abs light stays on. Do you think I need a new abs system or just try and get an ob1 reader to help find the problem. Car has only 34000 mls
