Questions/Suggestions: WD40 use: spray all cables throttle/choke, spray all pulleys & check for grease zerts, clean spark plugs (had them out to check spark & compression test Fuel/air system: use of Sea-Foam in fuel tank, shut-off valve BTW tank & carb, clean air filter
@philipbrake526311 ай бұрын
I learnt the hard way about the fuel line shut-off valve one summer on my 2008 Troy-Bilt Pony, set to long, gas leaked pass carb to crankcase. Caught it before any damage done. I'm a firm believer in Sea Foam, run it in my Troy-Bilt, Harley, 2 Chevy pickups all gasoline powered yard tools. Nice work!

Thanks for all the input! Shut off valve is definitely a good idea. And I agree seafoam is awesome stuff! I'll definitely be adding some in the tank and the crankcase soon. Lawn Chief Part 2 is dropping tomorrow at 3 pm AKST. Stay tuned!

If this engine doesn't have an oil filter, don't low idle them for too long, the splash-lube system doesn't lube enough overtime. Also valve seats can move sometimes on these, good to pull the heads for carbon-cleaning to check em. Cool find for 100 dollhairs

Love it - suggest a little priming (force feed) because starter motors don't like long times running.

I like those opposed 2 cylinder Briggs, I put an 18 horsepower on a 38 inch cut Murray. Compared to the original 11 horse engine, it did a great job.

Next time pull the neutral pin put it in neutral. You’ll break the transaxle pulling it like that

Nice job on getting it running, now if you could clean it up and spray the cables with WD 40 you'll be good to go and ready for the next snow storm. Good job.

So the one thing melee hasn't done with the snowblower tractor is ya'll haven't taken the tins off to check for mouse nests. You will pay handsomely for not checking the tins for mouse nests. Just one home under the tins and ya'll will blow a head gasket.

Please stop using the phrase “will it run” anything will run again no matter how bad it is. It’s just money and time. The phrase should be do I have the time and the resources to get this running again. When I see will it run just makes me think the person has no imagination. What makes your will it run video worth watching. Mention that.
@jesydiamond557910 ай бұрын
99% of the population has no idea how to get stuff running again and would write it off as "it's never going to run again, haul it to the dump!" Melee is epic because he makes money of of "trash" and this video has 46k views so the phrase "will it run again" obviously gets clicks! Way to go Melee! Keep rocking it!
