Hey explorers! I have another country adventure for this video! :-)
This old farm house is one I found via Google maps while scouring the virtual countryside!
It is located in a really awkward spot and I have to navigate some good old fashion rugged Aussie terrain and bush land to find it.
I think it was one of the original cattle stations of the area and they farmed the land up til about the late 60`s/early 70`s and just packed up and left........
The home since then and the sheds have been on a decline in to decay but they still stand proudly weathering the elements.
The home itself had Edwardian and Victorian features and I pin it to around 1900-1910.
Join me on this adventurous trek out to this lost home which was once a long time and hard working farming families home and well being.
Hope you enjoy, thanks for watching :-)

Paul you are very brave going to the stones! So we as your fans are so lucky! Mate this was a real treasure. Absolutely loved it. Like you I was surprised by the tiny little kitchen area. Normally it would have been in a large room for all the family. Loved the cupboard between the fireplace and the stove which would have been filled from outside with wood for both fires. You didn't notice the old tin bath that was out in the garden. It would have been the original bath. Thankyou so much for capturing a real old Aussie girl. I could hear the children laughing and playing. The lovely old Holden EJ Ute just added to this wonderful story. Keep up your fantastic work 😀🇦🇺👍 Just a side note, who was whistling in the background?

Hi Frankie Taz :-) Firstly that was my phone making those whistle noises as it is my msg alert :-) Secondly I am glad you really enjoyed this one even the the home is far from its prime I agree it felt very much like being back in that time where the hard working farming family were living out their lives. It really felt like I was away from everything out there. Cheers for your support and for watching :-)

Yup, the old girl is in a sorry old state but what a gem. I can see what this house once was, those old decaying walls would have seen a family raised, cooking, baking, hard work and everything else. There would be a backstory somewhere. The birds were probably curious what you were doing. Thank you for the explore.

Pretty rustic farmhouse. Thank you for going to the effort to film this. I wish that the farmers would fence off the hazardous areas from their livestock so that they don't get stuck in it or get injured. It seems rude to leave so much rubbish lying around and let the animals walk through it

This was one cool explore. What a lovely home I should this was at one time. Good bones. I agree with your and other comments that you can’t watch these without doing some time travel and hearing and feeling the life lived in such a home. Living, loving, Christmases, births, backbreaking work, just so much life. I always wanna kinda congratulate these really old places for what you just know was a job well done. @@urbexindigo5164 Thanks for the video! The Leahurst Aged Care Home at Magill SA was demolished this week. I knew its fate was sealed when the temporary fencing went up and the salvage crew put a skip in the carpark. I'm hoping an urbexer managed to gain access to the place to document it before the excavator moved in. I'm told it was upgraded only a year ago. Another piece of Adelaide's social history falls to the developers.

It's been a while since you've entered a house without first calling out "Hello, is anyone here ?". Great old house, must have been quite something in its day with its spacious rooms, timber paneling beneath the dado rails and the fruit tree orchard beside the house. Not far from the old Holden Ute are the remains of an old timber carriage axle & wheel, most likely the properties first runaround set of wheels. Going by the stone fencing and lay of the land, this place looks like it's in Victoria's western districts, I could suggest where but I don't want to be too exact. The original stone fence builders came from England, they then left the fence lines to join the Gold Rush and over time returned to building fences. Great explore and walkthru, thank you.

Corangamite is a word that seems to pop into my mind watching this one . Shame not any old papers or something for clues on when occupation finished. By 1926, American-made Kelvinator refrigerators were being imported into Australia, but were very expensive. Hallstrom introduced the Silent Night gas or electric-powered refrigerator and was producing more than 1200 units a week by the mid-1940s. It seems the Silent Night was cheap to produce but expensive to run, So Hallstrom negotiated deals with the local electric companies to give owners a subsidy.

Hi, Paul- Thank you for the extensive hiking to get to this property! This home confused me. Maybe it was because it would have had to have been occupied for generations to have the modern touches installed that I found in-congruent with an original homestead. You just wouldn't think of people leaving some of the things here, but then adding concrete around the outer edges, and steps. Why not update it to make the whole thing more user-friendly? Anyway, nothing at all in the barns had been updated, which is where the money is made, which I found odd. Possibly that was a milk processing machine of some sort? In any event, thanks- SDK

:-) Oh wow what an adventure poor lonely house appears out of the bush what a find. Did you hear a whistle? When you said there is the kitchenette? Still grand despite it being in ruins would have been beautiful in its prime. I heard the footsteps. A lot of history and stories from those walls. I reckon it would be very spooky at night! The ute is a Holden. Thank you:-) 🏡

Hello Paul. Great, but creepy video. I felt like you were not alone from the beginning. At 9:46 I heard sounded like a child saying, " help me ", 14:00 whistle, 14:23 whistling, 19:31 whistle, 25:15 faint whistle, 28:26 whistle. So I feel like whomever it was they were following you around trying to get your attention. As always, be safe and be careful. See ya in the next adventure.

The cockatoos are warning the ghosts that a fleshy human is coming 😉 Ooooh you are making me nervous for you walking on those floors 😱 be careful. That's a good size place. It must have been bustling with activities back in the day. Yeah I agree with you on the wiring. If it was a lot older it would have had rubber and cloth wrapped around the wires. That old style stopped just before the 1960's. I grew up with construction relatives 😉. You find some interesting places. Thank you for the view.

I'm all for saving old properties, but that one didn't look like a doer upper! The cowsheds looked in better condition. Wonder how long that cow had been there as it didn't seem decomposed, but noticed you never said there was a smell around it. Surprised the wildlife hasn't been in to feast on it. How did it get in? Are there still cows around the area and how often are cattle bitten by snakes? Loved the wall! ;-)
@urbexindigo5164
@urbexindigo5164 3 жыл бұрын
Hi LWF :-) I think you may be right, a bit past doing it up....haha. The poor cow may have got sick real quick as it was not trapped in there nor snagged on anything. Could have been a snake bite although that is not very common but does happen. Was no smell at all so it had been there well over a month I would say. The area is Mill cows/cattle and sheep so they do graze in these paddocks. Thanks for watching.
