Abandoned Georgia Movie Theater

I worked here from around 87 to 88. It was obviously new and super clean back then with two state of the art THX theaters. Fun gig, awesome people. Seeing it like this, while cool and interesting, is like seeing a part of my past laying dead. The amount of vandalism is profound. No idea why the roof has the holes cut out. (Look on Google Maps). At least it will be put out of its misery soon. Hopefully the new condos/apartments will help revitalize Town Center Mall.

I drive by it when I go to see my daughter she told me about it and I stopped by to see it. When I went by there it had one dumpster outside of the front door where you went in. We went to it when it was small then it got bigger and we went to it more. I believe there’s a theater area where the roof caved in and there’s moss growing on it. Where the dumpster is that’s where we parked. Cobb County Police Department sits in the parking lot sometimes.

You’re at the beginning of the Appalachian Mountains and you expected it to be like Florida temps?😅To be fair, Georgia has 2 winter climates. From Atlanta north is one. Points southward the other. I live I South Georgia at the Florida line so we have a climate like Tallahassee.
