Turrets are from panzers 38t. Later on in the war the 38t was getting on so they modified them with a new fighting compartment. And the famous tiny German tank destroyer, the jagdpanzer 38t hetzer was put into service

Interesting seeing turrets from Pz.Kpfw.35 (t) so far from home, and I would presume much later in the war. This pre war Czech light tank was used early in the war by the Germans and retired in 1942. Gee I sure would love to have one of them in a diorama! :-) What fabulous bunkers too, one of your best vids!

The scale and engineering of the German fortifications are truly amazing, even the logistics to bring men and material to remote locations. After watching the video the movie "The guns of Navarone" came to mind. Also is this deemed to be a historic site and any finds have to be left in place, such as US. civil war battle sites.

Honestly, I know it's disgusting, but my curiosity would drive me to grab a pick axe and at least try to push my way through. Just the thought of walking through a bunker that NO ONE has walked into (no looters, vandalism, ect.) Since it was walled up in the 40's, sends shivers of excitement up my spine.
@yoblazes7 жыл бұрын
I would obviously never take anything and make sure I tried to place the broken pieces back up to replace the wall, but it would be so cool to see the pictures of what may have been left behind.

Amazing location. And again, very early wartime Panzers... The 38T this time. Is it possible these were from early war period and not 1944-45? Even though it's the Atlantic wall. Those turrets would be very much sort after items for restorers. BTW, we have a 38T in Australia which is fully restored. Beautiful machine.

After finding the Kriegsmarine button, we see why your son is called Eagle Eyes. This is a massive location. How many acres does it cover? The Germans concentrated on making everything bigger. If they had of mass produced their tanks and equipment and ammunition the sheer numbers may have helped them win the war. That’s what helped the American. They produced so many Sherman tanks, and they weren’t better than the German tanks, but the sheer number overwhelmed the Germans. Very exciting location.
